Expect “a work of imaginative nonfiction that delivers an interactive, nonlinear reading experience that breaks the boundaries of conventional memoir.” Yep, we’re sold. More
Someone hire this guy to troll Neil Patrick Harris fans, because wow, the resemblance is striking! More
As awesome as the internet is, there’s something magical about photos that aren’t backed up on your Facebook account, and being able to go through a shoebox of pics and say, “Whoa, that normal guy I took a photo with is actually really famous!” More
Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka performed the originally heterosexual love song “You’re the Top” at Trevor Live!, leading to a couple of double entendres, but they laughed it off. More
We’re excited for David Burtka to be E!’s newest correspondent — manning the red carpet and helping out Ryan Seacrest on E! News — but was it his acting experience or his industry connections that really got him the gig? More
Despite being an openly gay actor and LGBT rights advocate, Neil Patrick Harris is not immune to the LGBT community’s wrath: GLAAD and other organizations called him out for using the word “tranny” twice during his guest-hosting gig on Live with Kelly on Friday. Neil has since apologized, but it’s a fascinating example of how the queer community is sometimes at odds with its members. More
We’re not sure who was more excited — Neil to be honored, or the fan on whose face he drew a handlebar mustache. More

You can credit the Harold & Kumar stoner comedies with rejuvenating Neil Patrick Harris‘ career: In 2004′s Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Harris played a fictionalized version of himself as a drug-addled playboy. Audiences loved seeing the guy they knew as cute Doogie Howser hilariously spiraling out of control. The next year, he introduced us to Barney Stinson (very much the same character, minus the drug habit) in How I Met Your Mother. His part in Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008) was even bigger: ‘Shrooms, branding hookers, and getting shot dead.
He could’ve let it go there and walked away from a franchise that helped establish him as a comic actor. More
Last night on Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen invited Neil Patrick Harris to join him for their postmortem of the show. In this case, they were discussing the first half of the Real Housewives of New York reunion. NPH didn’t seem to have much use for the Housewives (although he did confess to sort of liking Kelly Bensimon), and when asked for suggestions about next season, he replied, “You need to eliminate all of them and start from scratch … Get people who have more to do in their life than create conflict.” More
A lot of stuff at Sunday’s Tony Awards happened on the fly: Brooke Shields‘ flub during the opening number, several overly enthusiastic acceptance speeches, and Neil Patrick Harris‘ closing rap. Lin-Manuel Miranda (he wrote the lyrics and music for the musical In the Heights) had perhaps the toughest job of the night: He sat backstage and waited for each award to be announced, then speedily wove it into a doable rap. Also, he cracked West Wing jokes, which makes him our kind of guy. More
Neil Patrick Harris‘ opening number “It’s Not Just for the Gays Anymore” celebrated the fact that “straights” and “heteros” from the red states are pouring money into Broadway — and yet he still managed to dance with shimmying sailors, saucy nuns, coy flight attendants, and bright-eyed Mormons. And sport this dazzling purple number, which he wore for only a few seconds before slipping back into his more respectable black tux. (Except that the canary yellow ascot stuck out, and for that we love NPH even more.)
Update! We’ve got the video of NPH’s opening number to go with his snazzy duds. Check it out after the jump. More
