“Awesome” in this case might be in the traditional, “I am full of awe” sense, OR in the new-fangled “OMG, that’s sooooo awesome!” sense. Both are applicable. More

We’ll admit that we’re a little confused over why the plot of World War Z is changing so drastically in the adaptation from page to screen, but that’s not going to stop us from eating up every piece of news about it that we can. Case in point: Set pics! These shots found their way to the interwebs earlier this week, giving us a sneak peek at how these particular zombies are shaping up. Step inside for a closer look! More

Can we blame Brad Pitt for the fact that World War Z sounds nothing like the book that serves as its supposed source material? Probably not, though we’re still steamed that the screenwriters wrote a new character for him, considering that the book already has so many amazing people already. That confusion has since been cleared up. It’s not, as we thought, that Pitt required some special role; it’s because the whole movie is an entirely new story. Just check out the official synopsis. Cookie Monster and I are clearly soulmates. He loves cookies; I love cookies. He looks hot in blue; I look hot in blue. And, just like me, Cookie Monster is totally sick of people putting zombies in everything. More

Brad Pitt has something of a “finders, keepers” thing going on with several upcoming film projects: Just because his production company Plan B picks up a project, doesn’t mean that Pitt is the best choice for the lead role. He’s matched himself to the unlikely part of the narrator of World War Z, and now the Latino priest from The Sparrow. More

I may be coming a little late to this party, as the commercial in question was apparently loaded to Honda’s YouTube channel on April 20, but I have just seen said commercial for the first time, and honestly, I can’t quite figure out what’s going on. It looks like the beginning of a joke– one of the “A [blank], a [blank], and a [blank] walk into a bar” variety– and yet… More
I told myself earlier in the week that I should probably stop writing about zombies so much– I keep having dreams featuring them, and believe you me, it’s a lot less fun when the zombies win– but it’s kind of hard to come across something like this and NOT write about it. I think deviantART user Alephunky’s creativity is worth sharing, don’t you? Check out more of Alephunky’s stuff here. And don’t let those fingers anywhere near your head. More

Zombies! The lady in this pic probably won’t make it past the premiere, but she could take down a few humans before getting a gun (or shovel) to the head. We don’t know much about season 2, but it will follow the survivors of a zombie apocalypse (Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, and others) as they escape the ruined CDC in Atlanta and look for shelter and other humans. Shooting began last week, and the first of 13 episodes will premiere on AMC in October. More

While we’re on the subjects of both zombies and musicals: Has it ever occurred to you that maybe the undead deserve a musical of their very own? If it hasn’t, it should; but in any event, it occurred to SOMEBODY, and the result of that piece of epic wondering is this: Rigamortis: A Zombie Love Story. And it’s AWESOME. More

And by “zombified,” I mean that these characters weren’t originally zombies; however, due to some extremely creative fans and/or franchise writers and artists, they have become so, resulting in much hilarity. Just how much hilarity, you ask? Read on to find out! Just make sure to stand well back; they do have an unfortunate taste for grey matter. More

Personally, I’m tickled enough by the idea of a period zombie comedy called The Curse of the Buxom Strumpet, but it gets even better when you add in the cast: Dame Judi Dench is the most recent addition, joining Sir Ian McKellen, Gillian Anderson, and Mark Williams. You guys! M, Gandalf, Scully, and Arthur Weasley are all going to be in the same movie! And that movie is about ZOMBIES! It really doesn’t get much better than that! More

It may be hard to believe, but prepare yourselves: There are more undead characters out there than just those from the Twilight franchise. Gasp! Who knew? Prepare to have your minds blown even more: There are also loads of undead characters out there who are, dare I say, cooler than those from Twilight. Vampires, zombies, ghosts; we have them all here in abundance. Come one, come all to our Gallery of Undead Individuals (to be politically correct), and let the good times (or heads) roll! More
