Before long we’ll have to say tearful goodbyes to the magical pairing of Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson on True Detective, but fear not! The Internet has done its duty and made many amazing casting suggestions for #TrueDetectiveSeason2, including these 15 pairs we’d tune in to watch. More

Just like anyone else who’s new to a city, they’re spending their free time getting to know it better — and they’re doing it while looking like normal people. It’s just so refreshing! More
No hatred for Gale, but I don’t think Liam Hemsworth should be nominated for “Choice Scene Stealer” until we see more of him in Catching Fire. More
Brooke Bundy and I became friends at NYU, five years before she was cast as stylist Octavia in The Hunger Games, the insanely popular dystopian mega-franchise based on Suzanne Collins’ YA trilogy. The day after this interview, during which Brooke and I get hammered and I forget to ask her half of the questions I had prepared, I text her to get any funny stories about the other actors in The Hunger Games. We are both immensely hungover. “Woody Harrelson’s balls look like a bag of marbles,” she responds. More
When Lenny Kravitz appeared on Ellen DeGeneres‘ show, he brought with him the first real Katniss/Cinna scene from The Hunger Games. If you had any reservations about Lenny’s casting, watch this clip! He’s fantastic. More
Woody Harrelson‘s publicist obviously doesn’t know what AMA stands for: The actor took to Reddit to talk about his new movie Rampart and nothing else, even though he had posted to the “Ask Me Anything” thread. Predictably, Reddit has mocked him since. More
Want to see another Effie Trinket outfit? Check out this Hunger Games still, with Effie in a green-and-teal creation, plus new wig! (Oh, and Katniss and Haymitch are there, too.) More
Does Julianne Moore embody Sarah Palin‘s hair, smile, and accent in the Game Change trailer? You betcha! More
Lionsgate just released eight character posters for The Hunger Games! Contrary to fears that it would just be the main actors who we’ve already seen in promotional shots — Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson — the other five are the first shots we’ve seen of these actors in-character. And they look awesome. More

One of my problems with the first Hunger Games teaser trailer was that it only showed us Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) running through the Arena. But director Gary Ross just filmed a quick video talking more about the movie, and while he didn’t address the trailer, he did soothe our other big fear: The movie won’t just be from Katniss’ point of view. Oh, Hunger Games! We had high hopes that you would bypass all of the Hollywood behind-the-scenes bullshit and keep on with illustrating the perils of war and reality TV. But instead, two actors are boning even though one of them is married, and we have to figure out who they are. Yesterday Crazy Days and Nights posted a blind item about two stars on the Hunger Games set hooking up, teasing that it’s an older (married!) man and a much younger female co-star. More
While spying on the Hunger Games production down in North Carolina, we found these pages from a District 12 extra’s account of her time on the set.
Day 2. Hand cramp, ow. Would’ve been easier to type this on iPhone, but no electronics allowed. Want to say, “But this movie set in future.” Poor future. Hope the U.S.A. doesn’t end up like this. Depressed.
Day 2, later. OMG!! We get to shoot the reaping in a couple of days! That’s gonna be awesome. Haven’t actually seen Jennifer Lawrence or any of the famous actors yet, but looking forward to seeing if her blue dress matches the books. More
After almost two weeks of secret talks, Lionsgate has announced that Woody Harrelson will play Haymitch, the only living District 12 victor and Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta’s (Josh Hutcherson) mentor during their run in the 74th Hunger Games. Harrelson is a great fit for the role: He’s known for playing wise-cracking, rough-edged mentors — his role as Tallahassee in 2009′s Zombieland quickly comes to mind. More
