Instead of expanding their Wizarding World of Harry Potter park in Florida, as suspected, Universal Studios and Warner Bros have announced their plan to build a whole new park in Los Angeles! The project is only in the planning stages so far and wouldn’t open til 2015, but isn’t that awesome? More

Lucky Brits–they already have Oxford as the setting for the Hogwarts Great Hall, but in spring 2012, UK residents will be able to visit “The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London–The Making of Harry Potter” in Leavesden. This attraction is not a theme park, per se, but rather a “behind-the-scenes walking tour which immerses guests into the world of film-making”, according to the site’s FAQ page. Here’s the main draw: The tour features the sets, costumes, and props used in the eight Potter films.
Tickets, which haven’t been priced yet but “will be comparable to other London attractions”, have yet to go on sale. (You an pre-book here.) However, we’re already contemplating which parts of the wizarding world we’d want to see, if given the chance. More
