Long gone are the days where you can only look forward to a post-high school life of stupid math and stupid history papers and other things that I might also describe as stupid. Because, now, once you get to that alcohol palace that we call the American higher education system, you can study the stuff you really care about. Like pop music and candy. More
If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead AND awards shows AND Selena Gomez, then we’ve got a treat for you! And even if you’re not that strange combination of a person, this is still pretty cool. More
Tired of The Bad Girls Club? Us too. We’d much rather watch literary and television heroines like Buffy Summers and Lisbeth Salander try and live in the same house without staking each other. And of course Hermione Granger has the best one-liners in the confessional. More
After all of The Walking Dead‘s female characters royally screwed up in season 2, this first look at attorney-turned-badass Michonne (Danai Gurira) is really encouraging. More
What if after the zombie infection, advertisers went back to their jobs to market to their new dmeographic? That’s the basis behind this hilarious The Walking Dead/Mad Men crossover parody from comedy group Barely Political. More
The following is a guest post from our friends at Luckymag.com.
Zombies are scary. And as fierce mom Lori Grimes on The Walking Dead, actress Sarah Wayne Callies spends the bulk of her time battling the undead in the backwoods to keep her family alive. Suffice it to say, the show doesn’t give her much opportunity to glam up—mascara is obviously a pre-Zombie epidemic luxury. “I get the backhanded compliment a lot,” she says. “When people meet me they’re like, ‘oh, you’re actually not bad.’” More
The Emmys have kind of popped up at us, but here’s the strange part: What’s most captivated us is not the nominees, but who got overlooked. More

Zombies! The lady in this pic probably won’t make it past the premiere, but she could take down a few humans before getting a gun (or shovel) to the head. We don’t know much about season 2, but it will follow the survivors of a zombie apocalypse (Andrew Lincoln, Jon Bernthal, Sarah Wayne Callies, and others) as they escape the ruined CDC in Atlanta and look for shelter and other humans. Shooting began last week, and the first of 13 episodes will premiere on AMC in October. More
Britney Spears‘ former bodyguard claims he has nude photos that she sent to him. He also claims she used to expose herself to him until he bought her cans of soda. Not much else to say. (The Superficial)
Charlie Sheen officially got the ax from Two and a Half Men. He also refers to one of the producers as “whatshiscock.” (The Frisky)
Last week we watched the premiere of AMC’s new gorefest (with a heart), The Walking Dead. It’s a great miniseries, though it’s basically The Stand meets 28 Days Later meets a George Romero film. Also: we were pissed off by the lack of chicks.
This week though, Sheriff Rick Grimes escapes out of his tank in Atlanta though, and comes across upon a new group of stragglers, of which there are two women. Also Michael Rooker, and an Asian boy-whiz that I can’t help but think of as Short Round even though that’s racist. And apparently these people have never seen a zombie film, because they somehow manage to do the opposite of what even I know to be the very basic rules to zombie survival. More
Did Jon Hamm dress up for Halloween early, or does the poor guy just need to get some sleep? Either way, the actor arrived at the Mad Men season finale party looking less-than-fresh. Wait, we’ve got it! Maybe Jon’s promoting The Walking Dead, AMC’s new zombie apocalypse series (premiering October 30th, of course). More
