Happy 31st Birthday, Justin Timberlake! Here Are Some Of Your Finest Fashion Moments

Justin Timberlake has come a long way since he first caused pre-teens to hyperventilate as a member of the Mickey Mouse Club. The lil’ fella has gone from bubblegum boy band castrato to respected R&B artist, actor, and comedian in what seems like the blink of a dreamy, blue eye. Along the way, he’s made many fashion decisions. Here are some of his finest. More »

Crushable Guessing Game: ’30 Minutes or Less’ or Another Outlandish Comedy?

Crushable Guessing Game: '30 Minutes or Less' or Another Outlandish Comedy?

In 30 Minutes or Less, criminal Danny McBride orders a pizza, straps a bomb on the delivery guy (Jesse Eisenberg) instead, and informs him he has mere hours to rob a bank before he goes kablooey. An unbelievable comedy with dysfunctional characters and an awkward hero? We’ve seen this so many times before before, often with the same actors (30 Min has another criminal in Nick Swarsdon, and Aziz Ansari as the friend Jesse ropes into this fool’s errand.) Honestly, every other over-the-top comedy is starting to blur together. We’ve picked out a bunch of stills and mapped out the tropes that you’d see in more than one; it’s your job to figure out which movie is which, before the ticking bomb under your shirt counts reaches zero. Video Gallery: ‘Trust’ and How Hollywood Thinks We Interact on the Internet

Video Gallery: 'Trust' and How Hollywood Thinks We Interact on the Internet

David Schwimmer‘s second directorial feature Trust is a riveting cautionary tale about what happens when an innocuous Internet friendship translates to real emotional danger in real life. It’s also probably the best portrayal of the Internet and social media that has come from film and television. In the almost twenty years since the Internet became mainstream enough that Hollywood incorporated it into storytelling, we’ve seen digital communication portrayed as deadly, oversimplified, schlocky, and cringeworthy. And then a few filmmakers/TV writers completely get it. More »

‘Black Swan’ Producers Won’t Acknowledge Natalie Portman’s Dance Double Sarah Lane

'Black Swan' Producers Won't Acknowledge Natalie Portman's Dance Double Sarah Lane

It was so easy to go along with the belief that Natalie Portman‘s lovely dancing in Black Swan was the result of a year of single-minded discipline, especially because contrasted with Mila Kunis‘ more laidback attitude, it gave us a lot to talk about concerning actresses and the signs of eating disorders. But now Dance Magazine reports that most of Portman’s dancing was done by a double, American Ballet Theatre member Sarah Lane — who wasn’t acknowledged in the film’s credits or at the Oscars. More »

Crushable Quotable: The Winklevii Deserved To Be Mocked

Crushable Quotable: The Winklevii Deserved To Be Mocked

One of the most amusing scenes in the Oscar nominated movie The Social Network was a reenactment of the time the Winklevoss brothers Tyler and Cameron went to Harvard president Larry Summers to complain about Mark Zuckerberg stealing their idea for “The Facebook.”

In the movie, Summers mocked them and summarily told them to get out of his office. And according to Summers yesterday, that’s pretty much how it went down:

“[The Winklevii] came swaggering in in a way that I found very unpleasant. I’ve read I can be arrogant and on that occasion I was. But they deserved it.”

Video: Best Of Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Zuckerberg on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Video: Best Of Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Zuckerberg on 'Saturday Night Live'

Jesse Eisenberg‘s opening monologue killed it this week. Killed it. That is how opening monologues are done, people. And that was before Mark Zuckerberg, looking like the weird Aspergy automaton that he is, came on to meet the young man who played him in The Social Network for the very first time.

The rest of the episode wasn’t so bad either. Lorne Michaels has apparently heard the people’s cry for more Bill Hader laughing at himself, and who would have ever thought John Waters and Nicki Minaj would go so well together? Our favorite clips, below. More »
