The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence) is markedly different from its predecessor in a couple of ways. For one, it doesn’t even pretend to have researched the possibility of building a “Siamese Triplet” (as the first one claimed to be) and gleefully sticks to the tagline “100% Medically Inaccurate.” But the strangest difference is that neither of the two teaser trailers features anything truly disgusting. We’re a little let down by Monster Pictures and Tom Six‘s first trailer for The Human Centipede II (Full Sequence), the sequel to 2009′s appallingly twisted torture-porn flick The Human Centipede. After all the buildup to how grotesque and meta #2 is, what with a lecherous doctor stitching together twelve people and raping at least one of them, we expected some actual footage. What we get instead is a bunch of people watching the movie in a truck and puking. But is it even the actual movie? More
Why are you so cruel, MTV? Hunger Games fans have spent the last few days salivating for the teaser trailer for Lionsgate’s movie… we wait through the whole VMAs for Jennifer Lawrence to introduce it… only to discover that it’s appallingly short and features only Katniss! All we see is Katniss racing through the Arena, and a voiceover from Gale (Liam Hemsworth). The one truly good part was the music. More
This is ridiculous: MTV just put out a promo not for the VMAs in their entirety, but just to remind people that they’ll be broadcasting the Hunger Games teaser trailer on Sunday. And if you look really close, you can see one second from the movie. (Spoiler: It’s got Jennifer Lawrence, not Liam Hemsworth or Josh Hutcherson.) More
Yesterday we learned that MTV is going to debut the first official footage from The Hunger Games at the VMAs this Sunday. We started to make our guesses as to which scene we’d get to see — Capitol, District 12, the Arena itself — but now it turns out there’s a good chance we’ll see all of the above. The Hunger Games‘ official Facebook page has announced in more than one status update that what we’ll see on Sunday is the first teaser trailer! More
I loved Captain America. I had known very little about Cap aside from what I’d read of the Civil War series, and I thought that he was just some overblown, macho, maybe even conservative masked hero. But the movie was fantastic; it beefed up the origin story with ties to the other reboots and is just a great 1940s-era film.
I’ll write about it more as the week goes on, but this post is about what happened after the credits… or rather, what didn’t happen. More
Major #whitegirlproblem here, guys: I knew I had to watch this Avengers teaser so I could post it for you, but I had wanted to wait to see it at the Captain America screening tomorrow night. But I sucked it up and watched the video, just for you. It’s grainy quality, but you can definitely tell what’s going on. Quick, watch it before it gets pulled! More
