The Place Beyond The Pines looks so good, you guys. It was written by Derek Cianfrance, the same guy who wrote Blue Valentine, and it stars Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, and Eva Mendes, who are all just great. Cianfrance is not known for writing action and/or crime movies, which makes me think the action-packed parts of this one will not be gratuitous or overdone. The film’s trailer gives you a decent idea what it’s about, but why rely on mere facts when we could use the magic of imagination? Are Kristen Stewart And Garrett Hedlund's 'On The Road' Stills Actually Converse Or Levis Ads?

The first stills from the Garrett Hedlund/Kristen Stewart, um, “vehicle” On the Road were released today, and — gasp! 15-year-old me is weeping! — they totally look like ads. Levis and Converse ads, specifically. Maybe that’s because the actors are looking at the camera? What would Kerouac say?
