Paul Giamatti‘s newest movie opens up today. It’s called Win Win.
I saw it at Sundance this year and enjoyed it. Alex Shaffer, Giamatti’s young costar (pictured), is particularly fun to watch. But after the film ended came the Q&A, where director Thomas McCarthy explained his casting of Paul as the lead. Lucky for him, the two were already friends. Every year at Sundance there are a few breakout stars who appear in their first films and impress audiences with the realism of their performances.
