I’m assuming Martin Short isn’t a household name with SNL’s younger viewers (who probably only know him from Jungle 2 Jungle), he doesn’t have to be. This kind of comedy is what he does; the writers knew this and it showed. More

In a possible recasting decision, Martin Short is replacing Dave Foley as Marshall’s (Jason Segel) new boss on season 7 of How I Met Your Mother. In May’s finale, Marshall stumbled his way through an interview at a prestigious law firm, trying to impress Foley’s character even though he knew he was seconds away from blowing chunks.
But from this behind-the-scenes news, it sounds like Marshall got the job anyway. More
