Today, I am an anthropologist whose work in the field has finally been rewarded through a glimpse of that rarest of specimens: a Culkin brother. Yes: a real, live Culkin, of the genus Culkinus, out in New York City.

10:34 – The specimen appeared at the Union Square R train platform. He wore an outfit typical of a young man: a blue polo shirt and denim trousers. I swiftly identified the creature as Kieranas Culkinus, middle child of the genus that includes Macaulayus and Roryis. His hair was shaggy and fine; I’d venture to guess it hadn’t been cut for roughly three months. He walked with a slow gait and appeared tired and rather aimless. I could not deduce the type of engagement, be it social or professional, that our specimen was headed towards.
