After several weeks of middling performances on Dancing with the Stars, Kendra Wilkinson was finally voted off the show last night. Kendra had a large fanbase and high name recognition going onto the show, but she lost some fans when she complained about all the practicing she had to do. Now that she has been booted, she’s doing her apologies in the press: “I’ve lasted seven weeks – seven weeks longer than I ever thought I would last,” she told People. “I’m not the best dancer but I am the best mom. I’m back to being a mom.” More
Now that we’re down to just six teams on Dancing with the Stars that means it’s time for team dances. Hines Ward, who is one of my favorites to win this season, was in a group with Kirstie Alley and Kendra Wilkinson. The group dances are a nice way to compare dancers side-by-side and see who’s really nailing the footwork, and this performance pointed out how far Kirstie is behind the other competitors. More
This season on Dancing with the Stars, every single week has been a theme week. I’m okay with occasional theme weeks on the show if they push people outside of their comfort zones – classical week was great because people couldn’t rely on the lyrics to help them keep their timing, and it ended up upping everyone’s game – but when you have one every single week it just starts to look gimmicky. But Dancing with the Stars is nothing if not gimmicky, so here we go. More
