Usually we love the Disney Dream Portraits, where celebrities embody our favorite childhood animated characters. But it seemed way too easy to cast Jason Segel as a goofy ghost—why not make him the romantic lead? More
Topic: Jeff Bridges
What does a ghostly Ryan Reynolds look like, you ask? Why, just about the same as the living one—that is to say, cute and brooding in leather. More
What is it with swimsuit/lingerie models thinking they can act? First Brooklyn Decker in Just Go With It, then Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Transformers 3, and now Marisa Miller, who will make her movie debut in the supernatural action flick R.I.P.D. (She’s already had guest spots on TV shows like How I Met Your Mother.) At least this role will be more challenging than Rosie and Brooklyn’s: She plays Jeff Bridges. Sort of. More
So Monday and Tuesday of this week were Lebowski Fest, the annual celebration of The Dude and all things The Big Lebowski. However, this year was more special than any other Fest, because they managed to wrangle most of the original cast for the first-ever reunion since the movie came out in 1998! Here are the best photos from both red carpets: The cast clowning around at the Hammerstein Ballroom before the Q&A/screening, and the diehard fans posing in their costumed best at Chelsea Piers’ Bowling Party. Child acting is a tenuous thing. It’s difficult to tell when actors are very young whether or not they’ve actually got talent, and sometimes, being exposed to the Hollywood life at an early age can do weird things to a person. But for every one that implodes (I’m looking at you, Lindsay Lohan) or falls into obscurity (Jake Lloyd, much?), there’s also one that manages to make the transition from child to adult actor. It’s not always seamless, and sometimes there are demons to fight; but a lot of them do come out just fine on the other side. Here are 16 of our favorites. More
I know that you guys are all proud of yourselves for creating the technology to slap an actor’s younger face on his/her body. I know that Tom Hanks and the creepy Polar Express movie are probably partly to blame.
The fact that what comes out is a cross between a Disney animatronic figure and a Madam Tussauds’ wax sculpture worked in Tron: Legacy‘s favor when turning Jeff Bridges into his 1980s-Tron self to create the distance between his older human self and his program Clu. And I’ll admit that it was a trip to see Thelma & Louise-era Brad Pitt near the end of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. More
There’s something, dare I say, magical about the Disney Dream Portrait series, where photographer Annie Leibovitz reimagines well-known celebrities as memorable characters from our favorite animated movies. Disney has just released three new images, featuring Olivia Wilde, Penélope Cruz, and others. I’ve also included as many as I could find from the original series (released in 2008), in case you didn’t get to see them the first time around. More
Someone this week compared Country Strong to Showgirls, and I couldn’t help but agree. But then again, I loved Showgirls, which is pretty much my favorite bad movie of all time. If you’re considering going to see this movie, you should make sure you like two things: plaid and weepy, silly country music. Also, nonsense. Check out our Chick List rating to learn more. More

We know that Jeff Bridges is in Tron: Legacy and True Grit, which are both big movies this holiday season, but doesn’t all the DS he’s getting from the media lately seem a little…excessive? We know he’s The Dude and all, and no one is doubting he’s a great actor, but maybe Details UK could find someone else to both star in and design their December 2010 issue? Anyway, here was the best of Jeff Bridge with Lil Wayne and Eminem on Saturday Night Live last night. More
Are you ready for Tron: Legacy? There’s a lot to be excited about. The Daft Punk soundtrack! The neon LED spandex outfits! The Jeff Bridges coming back to vaguely reprise his 1982 role in the original Tron!
We are not exactly Tron experts. However, we have been crushing on the way the female leads look. So we tracked down the film’s head makeup artist to help us recreate the looks from the movie.
The first thing you will need to pull off The Tron look is LED lights (or glow in the dark tape). Once you have procured that and the proper skin tight outfit, follow these instructions we got directly from Rosalina da Silva, the makeup department head from Tron: Legacy. (Also, check in next week when we try out the looks ourselves.) More

Let’s admit it, we all have those inappropriate crushes on older men. After giving it some thought, we compiled out list of men who we find dreamy, but who are old enough to be our fathers — or grandfathers. Check out our gallery for our choices, and don’t forget to tell us who we might have missed. More
