This might be the hardest story ever to involve the former Degrassi star. More
Everyone likes a little fan art created in their honor. But not everyone can request it directly, which is something Kim Kardashian did. After stumbling across some sketches of herself on the Internet, Kim asked her fans to draw up and Tweet some more. We searched the designated hashtag (#KimKBackground) — here are some of the best results. More
Holy shit, you guys. The Old Spice Guy (a.k.a. Isaiah Mustafa) saw the gallery of fan art of him that we posted a while back, and responded directly to our own Liana Maeby via Youtube. He even said her name out loud, lucky girl. (She’s totally going to freak out when she gets back from vacation.) Seeing the potential for even more artistic tributes to his timeless beauty, he decided to give fans a few more poses to work with so that they might use him as their “blank, well chiseled, muscle laden, lady loving canvas.” I’ve screen capped all of them for your perusal; feel free to submit any pleasant smelling fan art you create to email@example.com. Those of you still not convinced by Lionsgate’s casting choices for The Hunger Games should check out EmmilyTM‘s pieces on deviantART (via Down With the Capitol). Pulling from photo shoots and candids, she gives us a preview of what the makeup chair will do: Make the actors better resemble Katniss, Gale, and Peeta. We’ve already seen Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss thanks to the Entertainment Weekly cover, and she looked rockin’. But aside from a few paparazzi shots or old magazine shoots, we haven’t had the chance to really envision either guy as her two love interests. (It doesn’t help that each has the opposite coloring of his character.) More
We’ve seen historically accurate Disney princesses; we’ve seen celebrity Disney princesses; but now? Meet the Disney Fighters. Created by artist Josh MC, these princesses have all been trained in the art of kicking your sorry behind all the way to happily ever after. A far cry from simpering damsels in distress, eh? Read on to check out the whole squad; to see more of Josh MC’s spectacular work, head over to deviantART. More
Okay, so we’ve did a crazy thing and it is that we agreed to get up at (stay up until) 5:30 A.M. on Friday to watch the royal wedding. Just for you guys, in case you’re up as well. To get ourselves in the mood for English festivities, here’s a gallery of our favorite Kate Middleton-themed DeviantART. Cheerio! More
Calling this gallery of Rebecca Black-themed work “fan art” would be using the term pretty liberally. Anti-fan art? Maybe more appropriate. Either way, these illustrations are hilarious. Cheers. More
Often fandom is viewed as an insular, even selfish community dedicated only to discussion and art related to their specific series. As we saw with the whole Firefly fiasco last week, fans can drum up bad press by appearing way too single-minded.
However, those negative incidents don’t characterize fandom as a whole. For every natural catastrophe that has occurred over the past eight years, I’ve witnessed LiveJournal fan communities unite to raise funds for emergency aid organizations. Their latest efforts, centered in the multi-fandom, multimedia community Help Japan, are reminiscent of the actions that fans took after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami. More

You guys, the Internet is totally winning at Charlie Sheen fan art right now. Like gold-medal, blue-ribbon, gigantic-trophy winning — these illustrations we discovered hiding under a kilo of cocaine are all awesome. Bonus points to any of them done in tiger blood! More
You guys! Yesterday we thought we saw Bob from Twin Peaks on the train and we totally had a panic attack. Have you all seen this show? Because it’s legitimately the best thing ever. We were inspired to look around for some fan art inspired by David Lynch‘s series, and we’ve got to say, it’s some pretty special stuff. Like really above and beyond — and if there’s one thing we know it’s fan art. More
We’ve been lax in our duties as curators of all things Justin Bieber: we realized this morning that we’ve never put up a gallery of Bieber fan art! Shameful! We’re remedying that right now, though, with this collection of Justin Biebers, Justin Beavers, and Justin Beavises. Hooray! More
There’s a saying in Hollywood, and it’s that you haven’t truly made it in this town until there’s an entire gallery of fan art devoted to your likeness. So congratulations, Willow Smith! You’re only ten years old, and while you may not have a star on the Walk of Fame (yet), you now have a collection of fan art. Next stop: Proactiv commercial. More
