As someone who thrives on shady gossip and nameless sources, I absolutely love all this speculation. Mostly because I like playing a game in my head called “who’s actually being considered and who’s just pretending they’re being considered to get talked about on consideration lists?” More

I think a lot of times we assume that if we like a celebrity, they’ll make awesome relationship choices, and if things do go sour, they’ll keep things private and we’ll never hear any bad gossip. But sometimes even if one or both halves of a celebrity relationship seem likable and mature, things can get bad. More
You know that thing where you love a certain celebrity and then you find out they’re a Scientologist and you don’t know how to feel anymore? Well I’m about to give you that feeling ten times over. I apologize in advance. More
If you can think of a negative adjective, Elisabeth Moss has probably used it in this New York Magazine interview to describe her brief marriage to Fred Armisen. More
We’ll never know if this move was premeditated or decided spontaneously. But we do know that it will go down in history as the moment that Giuliana Rancic’s heart shattered into a million piece. More
Wow, what a show. This definitely wasn’t my favorite season of Mad Men, but last night’s season 6 finale was pretty fantastic. It had me tearing up more than once and not really knowing why, and more than anything it made me think. A LOT. Which is nothing new for that show, it’s just that this week’s episode got me thinking a particularly large amount. Part of that thinking involved putting together my final sympathy rankings of the season. More
I’ve been waiting all season for a good Sally Draper episode of Mad Men. I finally got it last night, but as usual things weren’t looking up for poor Sally. This girl just cannot catch a break, can she? How many things will she witness before 1970? I went into this episode looking for death clues left and right, but I forgot all about those conspiracy theories during the second half hour. More
This week’s episode of Mad Men certainly wasn’t short on “What in the name of the ’60s is going on?” moments, mostly (as per usual) involving Don and his gradual downward spiral. We’ll get to all that, but the part of the episode that stood out to me was the storyline involving Joan and Peggy and Avon. I love their interactions in general, and it brought up some challenging questions about feminism and women in the workforce, as well as playing with our sympathy, which is what we’re here to talk about. Leave it to Mad Men to plod along in its typical quiet, “what does it all mean?” fashion before suddenly surprising you with something crazy. Remember the lawn mower incident? Or Ida Blankenship? Last week was pretty much nonstop WTF, but this week went the “out-of-nowhere” route, and I like it. More

Last night my two favorite characters from my two favorite shows appeared on one talk show that I never watch. If it’s not immediately obvious from that description, I’m talking about Jessica Walter, Arrested Development‘s Lucille, and Elisabeth Moss, Mad Men‘s Peggy, on Watch What Happens Live. More
The recent agency merger on Mad Men did more than just reunite Peggy Olson and Don Draper. It also brought a couple of new copywriters into the mix at Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce. One of those copywriters is the bespectacled Ed Gifford. While we’re still waiting for Ed to reveal his secrets, the actor who plays him, Kit Williamson, had his own on-set scoop to share when I talked to him. More
So I think we can all agree that last night’s Mad Men was weird. There was more than one moment during which I said aloud, “Is this a dream?” If we ignore Don’s sad Dick Whitman memories, it looks like everything did indeed happen. And thanks to some very effective energy shots, it was wacky. More
Hey, everybody, we need to talk about Don Draper. What was happening in last night’s Mad Men? Did you guys see what I saw? Because I saw a guy totally lose it. And Don Draper has been losing it for six seasons now. But this was new. This was disturbing. More
Flight attendants and whorehouses and merging agencies, oh my! This week on Mad Men (Season 6, Episode 6, “For Immediate Release”), a lot happened, including Peggy’s continued transformation into the new Don Draper. More
