Never have we seen someone try as hard as James Franco to be subversive. First there was the General Hospital “performance art,” then the solo multimedia exhibition, and now a magazine cover done in drag.

James posed here for the second issue of Candy Magazine, the world’s first ‘transversal style’ publication (cross-dressing, transexuality, and androgyny). The Warholian cover was shot by none other than Terry Richardson, who rendered James nearly unrecognizable in eyeshadow and True Red lipstick.
