Topic: DJ Pauly D
Last night, MTV premiered The Pauly D Project, the first of what will probably be many Jersey Shore spinoffs. The show follows the exploits of one Paul “DJ Pauly D” Del Vecchio and his entourage of Rhode Island bros as as they ride Pauly D’s reality TV fame to such exotic locales as Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, and the insides of many, many vaginas. You know, I’ve always been under the impression that the entire cast of Jersey Shore just spawned fully formed in Seaside Heights; but apparently I was wrong, because this is a picture of Pauly D as a child on his favorite mode of transportation. More
Spencer Pratt wants to intern for Ryan Seacrest, to make himself more “likeable.” We can’t think of a worse possible intern than Spencer. And likeability? More like liability. (Us Magazine)
Jersey Shore‘s DJ Pauly D, Snooki, and J-WOWW, all have spin-off shows that will most likely air in 2012. (Dlisted)
Good things about this week’s episode: we get to see Vinny shirtless, and there are no poopy toilet shots! Bad things about this week’s episode: Sammi and Ronnie. They’re the bad thing about every single episode ever, and it’s killing my enjoyment of the show. I have defended Jersey Shore countless times, but they’re really trying my patience on this one. I find myself being nostalgic for that time that Ronnie told Sammi she had a Fred Flintstone toe and she lost her shit. Those should not be your halcyon days, people. More
Can I make a confession? I sort of miss hearing Angelina Pivarnick‘s “Hel-LOOO” in the Jersey Shore opening credits. I don’t miss Angelina at all, but I got really used to the rhythm of the credit sequence.
This week is all about mispronouncing things. The Situation calls Patron “pay-trun” instead of “Puh-trone,” and Ronnie makes fun of the way Pauly pronounces the word “barber.” So I’m within my rights to call Sammi “Sam-meye” (rhymes with Jedi) for the purposes of this post.
Here are some other new Guidoisms from last night’s episode. More
