As this season of Dexter progresses, it seems to be getting improbably better. We’ve got two new villains (one smart, one dumb), the incest plot is (mostly) on the back burner, Louis is all the way dead. Let’s tally some points and see where we stand. More
This week’s Dexter was a mixed bag of scary-good and funny-bad, as per ushe. But you know what? With the number of times I gasped in this episode, I’d say this season is starting to hit its stride. Without further ado, I give you: the best and worst parts of Dexter season 7, episode 3, a.k.a. “Buck The System.” More
Much like Debra Morgan herself, Dexter is a mixed bag of goodness and stupidity. More
Dexter is a great show that may or may not be running out of ideas. Here are nine ridiculous things from the season seven premiere. More
A new sneak peek of the seventh season of Dexter was released at Comic-Con, and I never thought I’d be so nervous for a serial killer. I can’t wait to see what happens next. More
The last time Dexter brought on a hot, tough blonde, Michael C. Hall and Julia Stiles reportedly had an affair that ended his marriage. Could new recurring star Yvonne Strahovski be set up for the same fate? More
Four shows on premium television are currently exploring plot lines involving incest. Is it mere coincidence, or is there something else going on here? (WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD.) More
There are a shocking number of familiar faces in this season’s batch of new pilots (plus Dexter, because they love their guest stars). And we say familiar because it was only just last season that many of these actors — from Colin Hanks to Brittany Robertson – were trying to make it work on other sitcoms, dramas, and thrillers. More
We know there are plenty of great stars appearing on Dexter this fall — Colin Hanks, Edward James Olmos, Mos Def – but it’s hard to keep them all straight. Which one is season 6′s Big Bad? Which one’s the religious zealot? (Hint: There are actually two.) Which one’s the new love interest? More

Seriously — everything about this faux-ice cream flavor is begging Ben & Jerry’s to investigate licensing fees immediately. The key lime pie base (it’s underused, you guys), the chocolate pieces (especially since some of B&J’s best flavors involve chocolate cows and fish), and the killer (heh) art. More
Instead of this stylized promo with religious iconography, I would’ve rather my first look at Dexter season 6 be actual footage from the next chapter of serial killer killer Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall). This doesn’t do much aside from give us Hall’s signature wry eyebrow arch and play on words.
Unless… What if the teaser weren’t being glib and Dexter actually finds God this season? As I’ve said before, each season’s pathos comes from poor, perpetually lonely Dexter believing that he’s found someone who really gets him. More
The photo that popped up after the Casey Anthony verdict — a Photoshop of serial killer killer Dexter Morgan reading a newspaper about Anthony being declared not guilty — was a one-off joke. But the video version of the same scenario is amazing. The editing is fantastic; the reactions are perfectly timed, and the music is so chilling when shown against Anthony’s relief at the “not guilty” decision. All I need is for a sequence set against Dexter‘s creepy violin music, and I’ll be eternally happy. More
Ah, Father’s Day: A Hallmark holiday, but a nice idea nonetheless. True, your dad doesn’t have to be a superhero, a badass, or even your actual dad in order to be worthy of celebration (never underestimate the worth of a dad-like figure!), but let’s face it: It would be pretty cool to have one of these unusual dudes as your father. Here’s to these and all the other dads out there. Happy Father’s Day! More
Dexter season 5 was a bit lackluster, missing the dark humor that made the first few seasons so fun. But with the announcement that Colin Hanks will have a major arc in season 6 comes hope. All we know so far is that he’ll play Travis, an ancient artifacts expert who’s “highly intelligent” and unfortunately gets linked to the latest batch of murders in Miami. More
