It seemed like it was a great year for women in Hollywood with the box office and critical success of female-driven films such as Bridesmaids and The Help. For goodness sake, Bridesmaids sparked a whole film and television trend of female-driven comedies starring women and written by women. Our favorite Friend Matthew Perry made a brilliant assessment about women in comedy at the 2012 Comedy Awards this week. There has been so much attention on women in comedy this year. Bridesmaids Swept At The Comedy Central Comedy Awards, And They Deserved It

No one can say Bridesmaids wasn’t given a lot of love during this year’s awards season; it was buried under nominations including two Golden Globe and two Academy Awards nods.
