Shortly after the release of X-Men: First Class, YouTube user TheWarpZone wrote an absolutely hilarious X-Men themed parody of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” He also issued a challenge: If the video of him just playing the song on an acoustic guitar in his room got enough views, he’d make a full video for the song. Lo and behold, he has apparently received sufficient viewing figures, because earlier in the week, this glorious piece of work emerged. I don’t know about you guys, but there’s something about a supremely awkward Magneto holding an electric guitar (did you notice that it floated up to him via his amazing magnetic powers?) and surrounded by dancing girls that really does it for me. There’s a lot of in-jokes for fans here, too; a variety of X-Men make appearances, and it’s kind of fun to play Spot-the-Mutant. I found Juggernaut, Gambit, Jubilee, Wolverine, Banshee, Cyclops, Emma Frost, Pyro, Professor X, Mystique, and Jean Grey; did you catch anyone I missed, readers? More

This photo’s pretty great, and we’re betting in 40 years the little boy’ll be telling his children about the time he fell asleep in Lady Gaga‘s lap. And his kids will be all “Who’s Lady Gaga?” and then they’ll run off on their little robot feet and take off on a spaceship ride around their home planet, Mars. More

Weird Al Yankovic is known for his pop culture parodies, and he’s done reworked versions of songs by everyone from Michael Jackson to Nirvana. However, one artist evidently doesn’t find Weird Al’s work to be funny – Lady Gaga. Weird Al announced via his YouTube channel that he wrote a version of Gaga’s song “Born This Way” called “Perform This Way,” and although he intended for the song to appear on his upcoming album it won’t be included. To celebrate her 25th, Lady Gaga‘s friends threw the pop super star a party at a Downtown LA club called La Cita* that included a hired mariachi band. Unexpectedly, Gaga — who was wearing a sparkly black dress and sporting a massive beehive — jumped on stage and performed with the band. A partygoer cell-phone-captured her rendition of “Born This Way,” which is ultra jazzy and fun.
*We used to go to La Cita like every Friday in college for something called “Punky Reggae Dance Night” or some such… so, yeah, that’s the kind of place it is. Keeping it real and low-key, it seems!

The guy who made this has mostly been known for his Claymation reenactments of various scenes from the Saw franchise (available to watch on his YouTube Channel); now meet his latest creation, Claymation Lady Gaga. I find this video fascinating and disturbing, all at once. Then again, this is also how I feel about Lady Gaga in general, so perhaps I shouldn’t be so surprised… More

Remember that little girl who played a really beautiful piano version of Lady Gaga‘s “Born This Way”? Well Gaga brought 10-year-old Maria Aragon onstage at a recent concert to perform a duet. It’s really sort of beautiful and wonderful and we’re tearing up almost as much as Gaga at the end of her performance. More

Bikini-clad creatures writhing around in goo? Cheek implants? Simulated sex with a skeleton? It’s either an episode of Celebrity Rehab or the new Lady Gaga video. Gaga’s offering for “Born This Way” is totally over-the-top per usual, and after only a single viewing we’re ready to call it a true classic. More
Lady Gaga tweeted this little girl named Maria’s cover of “Born This Way,” saying: “Can’t stop crying watching this. This is why I make music. She is the future.” Maria’s verson’s rad, but weirdly is more “Don’t Go Chasing Waterfalls” than “Express Yourself.” Right? More

Lady Gaga tweeted the cover art for her upcoming album Born This Way today (first single out Friday!), and guess what? It totally looks like something from an 80s metal band. Given that Gaga was actually born in the area of those records — and considering her album’s title — the artwork does does sort of make sense. Check out this ridiculously similar cover from guitar superstar Lita Ford: More

2010 was quite a year for Lady Gaga. The singer basically took over the world these past 12 months — what with her “Telephone” video and VMA meat dress. Never one to avoid controversy, Gaga did her part to held repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell and made Time‘s “100 Most Influential” list. No wonder she collapsed backstage from time to time! More
