As if I wasn’t excited enough for HBO’s Girls to return in January, here’s a clip of Lena Dunham and ‘The Guys Of Girls‘ discussing their character arcs next season. More
Call me crazy, but I really like the male characters on Girls. They’re cute, they’re funny, and they exemplify a diversity of experience that you don’t usually see on TV. Even when their characters are being jerks, I like the actors who play them. But I like them a little bit less after seeing them goof off with Uncle Terry, because every time someone gives him the “thumbs up,” a little bit of his creepiness rubs off on them. I know they were shooting with him for a feature in GQ Style and it probably wasn’t their choice, but ugh. Look at the pictures and see if you don’t agree. More

Does not laughing at racist dialouge make me an uptight prude who’s too stupid to see the brilliant and self-aware humor behind the scripted lines? Or does laughing make me some kind of hipster racist who endorses bigotry by watching the show? As a TV viewer who prides herself on being in on the joke, I need to know the answer to these questions before I decide if I like the show or not. More

Yes, I went to prom not once, but TWICE with Andrew Rannells. Go ahead and be jealous. He was an amazing date! We ripped up the dance floor and he got me the most spectacular orchid corsage that I want to replicate for my wedding. We posed for this picture on purpose, quite dramatically. Andrew and I caused quite the commotion at this event. It was in Omaha, Nebraska at an ALL boys Catholic school event where women where allowed to venture onto campus once a year on this magical night. More

Acting nominees Josh Gad and Rory O’Malley told NY1 on the red carpet that they were really excited about the number that The Book of Mormon was going to perform– because they got to sit back and watch! Yep, the full burden of performance fell upon the shoulders of fellow nominee Andrew Rannells. As Elder Price, Rannells serenaded the Beacon Theatre with “I Believe,” during which he gamely reclaimed his faith… before going into a warlord’s den, book in hand. Too bad he doesn’t have the good sense to anticipate where that book might end up. Check it out in all is Mormonic glory here! More
Before she was Rachel Berry on Glee, Lea Michele was a Broadway star. Her breakout role was as Wendla in the musical Spring Awakening, where she costarred with now-BFF Jonathan Groff (aka Jesse St James). The show was in the Eugene O’Neill Theater in New York. Fast forward a couple of years, and that same theater is hosting the megahit musical Book of Mormon, which was written by South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. One of the show’s stars, Andrew Rannells, found a little surprise in his dressing room – a message that Lea had scrawled under a table back in her Spring Awakening days. More
