Although we see a lot of Chelsea Houska and her dad Randy “Randalicious” Houska on MTV’s Teen Mom 2, Randy’s wife Rita has been a nonentity. There have been rumors that Rita and Chelsea don’t get along (which is why Randy always goes to Chelsea’s place, instead of the other way around), but Rita has finally spoken out about her relationship with her stepdaughter. This special basically exists for two reasons:
1) To continue milking the cow that is this show and its ratings; and
2) To address viewer questions about why the show focuses so much on the girls’ romantic relationships instead of all the day to day duties of raising a kid.

Although this reunion show is ostensibly about the four teen moms and their loved ones, it’s really about one person: Dr. Drew. He does a passable job in this reunion, but he’s more interested in getting the girls to cry than he is in delving more than a centimeter deep into their issues. Although MTV isn’t airing the Teen Mom 2 reunion until next week, there’s a sneak preview clip up on their site. In the clip, a newly blonde Chelsea Houska sits between dad Randy Houska and ex-boyfriend/baby daddy Adam Lind on Dr. Drew Pinsky‘s couch. As usual, Chelsea lets Randy and Adam have it out while she just sits there crying and complaining about being stuck in the middle. More
It’s the final episode of Teen Mom 2‘s final season, and there are plenty of tears. Jenelle cries about getting arrested and being betrayed by Kieffer, and Jenelle’s mom cries about her daughter’s wasted life. Kailyn cries because she and Jo hate each other and have to enter mediation for their custody agreement. Chelsea cries on Aubree’s first birthday because she loves her daughter and Adam is a dick. Leah, Corey, and the rest of America cry at their adorable redneck wedding. There’s no start date for season 2, so it looks like we’re going to have to rely on tabloid headlines for awhile until these four girls and their families come back into our lives. More

It seems like everyone is in court this week: Jenelle’s mom sees a lawyer about the credit card theft, Chelsea goes after Adam for child support, and Kailyn decides to formalize her custody agreement. The only exception is Leah, who gets to go to the hospital instead. If there’s anything I’ve learned from MTV’s Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2, it’s that parenting isn’t easy. Not only have many of the show’s cast members gotten terrible plastic surgery and ugly tattoos, some of them have also ended up behind bars. More
This week, the parents of the Teen Moms play a big role in the episode. Leah’s mom throws her a bachelorette party, Jenelle’s mom blows up (again), Kailyn’s mom is an instigator, and Chelsea’s dad buys her and her friends Lady Gaga tickets. Jo’s parents are also big players in this episode as they try to keep the peace between their son and his baby mama. More
On this week’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Adam Lind told Chelsea Houska he’d cheated on her, and she kicked him out of the house. Considering what a colossal jerk Adam has been – not paying rent or child support, not helping take care of Aubree, calling Chelsea names – I cheered when Chelsea showed Adam the door. More
This week, I am clearly obsessed with the hair of every person on this show. Leah’s changes in every scene, Kieffer’s makes him look like a porcupine, and Jenelle’s probably smells like weed.
Also, I want MTV to branch out and put some of these girls on other shows. Leah’s baby issues would finally get a diagnosis thanks to the team on House, and Judge Judy would have Jo and Kailyn’s custody argument settled in about twenty seconds. More
As usual, last night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 was more about the relationships than the babies. Kailyn hooked back up with Jordan, Jenelle and Kieffer continued to be drifters, and Adam remained a waste of oxygen. More
