Here’s a question I never know how to answer: “What’s your type?” I mean, how do you respond to that without seeming like a totally judgmental jerk? So I usually say that I don’t really have a type, but secretly, I know it isn’t true. Thing is, I totally do have a preferred variety of male, and it’s the boyfriend characters from the heyday of The WB. You can decorate your mortarboard, hide silly string up your gown sleeve, or make up elaborate chants for when your friends accept their diplomas. Then there are the less conventional ways to make commencement memorable: marriage proposals, meteors, a fight to the death. I suggest going with silly string. Video: 'Secret Life of the American Teenager' Is Obsessed with Sex

Secret Life of the American Teenager is a weird show. They have old-fashioned, almost Puritanical beliefs about sex (one character thinks her dad died as a punishment for her losing her virginity), and yet the characters on the show talk about it almost to the point of obsession. Considering that Secret Life is also the brainchild of Brenda Hampton, this isn’t surprising. As the creator and producer of 7th Heaven, Hampton had her characters constantly prying into each others’ sex lives and being judgmental about it – considering the pilot episode of that show had Jessica Biel‘s character ask Barry Watson‘s character (those characters were siblings, btw) to kiss her, I wouldn’t expect anything less.
