Have you ever been on a really magical first date and thought to yourself, “Wow this is like something out of a movie”? Well, for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, their first date in 2012 really was straight out of a movie. Specifically, the 1988 Tom Hanks movie Big. Yesterday Kim shared a Twitter video (which can be viewed in full on her app) of her and Kanye busting out some “Heart and Soul” on the giant piano at the (now closed) toy store FAO Schwarz in New York City.

According to Complex, this is what Kim had to say about the video:
“This video was from when Kanye and I went to FAO Schwarz and played piano together. Our friend Joyce Bonelli took the vid. This was actually one of our first dates!”
Out of all the movies Kim and Kanye’s first date could have been inspired by, Big is pretty down to earth and surprisingly charming. I mean, if you told me to guess, I would have expected Kanye to have Kim pose naked wearing a replica of the Titanic necklace while he sat nearby furiously composing rap songs inspired by her. Or maybe hire a crop duster to chase them around like in North by Northwest — which could have turned out to be the inspiration for the name of their future child. But Big? I never would have guessed that in a million years.
If you think about it, though, it kind of makes sense, since all the evidence shows Kanye to be a child trapped in an adult’s body… which is exactly the plot of Big. Coincidence? I think not. I’m just waiting for the paparazzi photos to come out of Kanye and Kim at the Zoltar machine. It certainly would explain a lot, wouldn’t it?
