It’s all happening! Since rumors of the Gilmore Girls revival started surfacing last October people have had one question on their mind. Which, if any, of Rory’s ex-boyfriends will return? Would we have to settle for one quick mention of Jess? Wonder endlessly what Dean is up to nowadays? Well fear not, we well get to see Logan, Dean, and Jess again when the new season of Gilmore Girls premieres on Netflix later this year.
Matt Czuchry, who played Logan, was the first ex of Rory’s to be confirmed for the show last week. Soon after Milo Ventimiglia revealed he will be back too, tweeting a picture of a Gilmore Girls script and “What a great time to get back on set with some friends. #JessIsBack.” He told TVLine that he is excited to return and ready to “strap on his leather jacket and pop back in to shake things up.” If all that wasn’t enough, it was announced Jared Padalecki will take some time off demon hunting to rock a Doose’s Market apron once again (hopefully).
The boys will also be joined by Rory’s dad Christopher, David Sutcliffe, who will play a role in the new season as well as Sutton Foster who will joining the show as a mysterious new character. It was previously announced most of the major players- Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Sean Gunn, Keiko Agena and Yanic Truesdale will also be returning. One fan favorite Sookie (Melissa McCarthy), however, will not be coming back after the whole she was never asked about it thing. Well, we’ll always have Jess.
While we don’t know what all these guys will be doing in the show, there is one thing we know for sure. Rory is in the fortunate, or unfortunate, situation that all her ex-boyfriends got unbelievably hotter with age.
