Game Of Thrones Star Maisie Williams Went To Comic Con In Disguise Because She’s The Coolest

If you know me at all, you know that I’m a big fan of celebrities going out in public in disguise (mostly because I’d do it all the time if I were famous myself), so it should come as no surprise that I’m obsessed with the fact that Maisie Williams went to Comic Con so artfully camouflaged that no one even knew she was there.

That’s right! Even though Maisie is a cast member for Game Of Thrones, a show doing one of the most-anticipated panels of the event, she was able to slip right under people’s noses to enjoy the convention undetected. (Which is a total Arya Stark move, by the by, and makes me respect her more.)

And for being such an impressive feat, it was surprisingly easy to accomplish! All Maisie did to hide her identity was to put on a Spider Man mask along with her otherwise-ordinary clothes, and nobody gave her a second glance. In fact, we wouldn’t even know that she’d done it if Maisie hadn’t posted the proof herself, to her Instagram:

She didn’t dress up as herself, which means that it’s not quite as cool as when Bryan Cranston hid behind a Walter White mask when he was at SDCC for Breaking Bad last year, but it’s pretty close.

I’ve never been to Comic Con myself, but let me tell you, the knowledge that I might be strolling casually next to the be-masked star of my favorite TV show is an incredibly convincing reason to shell out the cash for tickets next year. The only thing I’d have to figure out is how to keep myself under control enough that I wasn’t just running pulling masks off peoples’ faces all weekend like beards off of Santas. Please advise.

The Bryan Cranston thing will forever be my favorite, but this one’s pretty adorable.
