Justin Bieber Was Allegedly Caught Using Racial Slurs, Is Maybe On A Quest To Become The Worst Person Ever

Justin Bieber attending a party at Cannes May 2014

Remember that time Julianne Hough wore blackface for Halloween, and everyone was like “is she racist, or just really dumb?” and we all came to the conclusion that she just made an ignorant, unwise choice decidedly not based in hate.  Yeah.  Well.  This isn’t like that.

A young Justin Bieber (sporting that famous, feathered mushroom ‘do) is featured in a video clip that shows him grinning while telling a horrible, racist joke that even your crazy great-uncle no one likes wouldn’t tell at an uncomfortable family picnic. TMZ has the entire clip of the video you can watch if you feel like being even more disgusted, but the gist of it goes something like this:

‘Why are black people afraid of chainsaws?’ then started making the noise of the chainsaw  and concluded his ‘joke’ with ‘ Run n*****, n*****, n*****, n*****, n*****.’

I…I can’t even believe I just had to type that.  Because I can’t in good conscience even begin to speculate what would cause a young kid to ever, EVER, think that was okay to say–especially a famous kid being recorded–I’m just going to pose the question of how much more the world is willing to tolerate from this jerk before his blinded-by-what-God-only-knows fans will stop feeding this beast?

I know he was a few years younger in this video, but that doesn’t make it excusable in any way.  I’m wondering how his PR camp will handle this, especially given the fact that his mentor and plenty of people he’s worked with are African-American.  The only conceivable way they can spin this is by announcing that for the last few years, Justin Bieber has been on a one-man quest to achieve the status of Most Insufferable Human Alive.

Well he’s younger and plenty of people of any age tell “bad jokes”.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

And subsequently get called on them!

      • CMJ

He’s old enough to know that the N word isn’t funny.

      • Elizabeth Aspen

15 IS young and think back to when you were that age. Were you a saint every day of your life? Did you do and say things to go along with the crowd so you would have friends? Don’t be so sanctimonious.

      • CMJ

Yep. No. Still didn’t say that word.

      • Cassandra Hough

You’re right, teenagers should totally be excused when it comes to racist jokes. They just don’t know any better!

      • Isabelle

No but plenty of teens make bad jokes for the sake of being funny. This only got released because of his current reputation.

      • Darling Dewey

What does this even mean? It only got released because of his reputation…yeah, he’s famous and the shit famous people say gets released. Here, let me hold the big fat obvious stick for a moment.

I thought what I said was pretty clear. But where was this video when he was 14? He hasn’t been in the media for his bad behavior for a few weeks, I’m sure this was to get the heat put on him again

      • Darling Dewey

        Yeah. Poor Biebs.

      • Elizabeth Aspen

I’m on your side, Isabelle. Some people on this website are so politically correct and obtuse. It’s called ‘CONTEXT’ people.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

“But where was this video when he was 14?”

        It was in the ~fuuuuuutuuuuure~!

    • Ginny

I wonder if the woman in the background who says you can make the same joke with a motorcycle is his mom? Even if you want to say he’s young and didn’t know better (which he wasn’t and he did) the clearly adult female in the background of the video did know better.

should hang out … with the naked cowboys at Ram Ranch. http://www.RamRanch.com

I’m the last person to defend Bieber but he WAS 15 in this video and 15-year-olds are notorious assholes. And this was the whole “windswept” hairdo phase so he hadn’t yet started his obsession with posing as a black person in order to steal their culture. So give him a pass on this one. If the video had been taken last week, that would be something to get up in arms about. But 15-year-olds are dicks who say things just to fit in.

“Is he kidding? He’s a ‘man’ now and knows ‘responsibility’? I don’t even know what else to say to that so I’ll just roll my eyes instead.” ~ Elizabeth Aspen, in response to the article People.com published about this incident

So, by your own quote, you can see how his “apology” is laughable. Being 15 years old is not an excuse for being an asshole. If I for one second believed that he had changed or matured, that would be one thing. But he is certainly not entitled to a pass just because he was a kid if he hasn’t learned anything from it.
