You had a good run, Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, but it looks like it’s time to pack it up and admit that you’ll never make it in the big leagues. You may not even be five years old yet, but when your own mother calls you out on being a bad actor, it’s time to cut and run. Especially when your mother is Angelina Jolie — she knows from good acting.
Vivi had a lot of opportunities to be great at this, too. Not only is she the literal combination of an Oscar winner and an Oscar nominee (keep at it, Brad Pitt), but she’s had an entire four years to absorb their advice and study their craft. But apparently she’s wasted all that time on being a child or something, because if her role in the upcoming movie Maleficent is any indication, she’s already one of those burned out stars you read about. A true Hollywood tragedy.
As you may recall, this is the role that one of Brangelina’s other daughters, Shiloh, turned down by laughing in her mom’s face. Which I’m obsessed with. But according to a recent interview that Angelina did with Giuliana Rancic, Vivi didn’t do us any favors by accepting the part.
“The idea of doing something more than once and doing it when you’re told—no four-year-old isn’t going to do what you tell them to do anyway. So just like any four-year-old, she always skips around, she always collects flowers, she always collects butterflies. But when she’s supposed to, she just didn’t want to. So Brad and I, and her brothers and sisters, were all there, and I had to get the pole with the blue stick on the end that was the butterfly and I had to kind of dance in front of her.”
Man — six people to wrangle one actor? That’s some serious diva behavior, am I right? You’ve gotta have some pretty serious chops to demand that kind of support staff, and we still don’t know if Vivi has them!! If she can’t even collect butterflies out of the air when she’s told to, then WHERE DOES THIS END?!?!?
