The Trailer For On The Run Will Leave You More Curious About Jay-Z And Beyonce Than Ever

zzzzzzzzzzz

Let’s all start a slow clap going to the Carter-Knowles public relations team for their excellent sense of timing, shall we?  After one crazy week in celebrity gossip history following the Solange/Beyonce/Jay-Z elevator brawl, and a generic statement issued a few days after the “scandal” broke, all attention will now be diverted and fixated upon the trailer for On The Run, promoting Jay-Z- and Beyonce’s upcoming tour.

Oh, you’ve never heard of anyone releasing an actual full-length movie trailer full of A-list stars to promote a concert tour before?  Ugh, you’re so basic.  *Of course* these two released a jam-packed, impressive FILM TRAILER full of guns, glory, money, Sean Penn, Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Emmy Rossum, and Guillermo Diaz (you know him as Huck from Scandal, I prefer to remember him as Guillermo from Weeds).  Seriously, you need to check this shit out.  I’d love to know how many people Tweeted the word “cray” and “fierce” in reference to this today:

That’s right, it’s rated “R” for “Rocnation” and it’s COMING NEVER, fools! While I personally don’t find guns to be sexually attractive, I can clearly see this duo is still really pushing the “Bonnie and Clyde” theme. This trailer is, unfortunately, Solange-less but Rashida Jones has a cameo as some sort of comical hooker, so that helps. This trailer release leave me with so many unanswered questions: Is Sean Penn some sort of Goodfella?  Does Jay-Z really speak that softly and tenderly in real life? Who deemed Blake Lively interesting enough to be believable friends with Beyonce? Good God, is Justin Bieber going to try to top this?  Omg.

I’m sorry, but what do you know about Blake Lively? Just from watching her interviews I think she seems like quite an interesting person and she and Beyonce have been really good friends since they did Chime for Change Together. I know you probably thought that was clever or funny, but it mostly came out as rude. I think Beyonce and Blake Lively seem like really cool people and I would LOVE to hang out with them.

    • Cassandra Hough

      Breathe. Please.

    • Lenia

I’m sorry I’m just sort of fed up with the writers on this website. It used to be really funny and fun, but now I’m finding you guys are just mean and snarky. IDK it’s just my opinion, but I miss the kinder Crushable.

    • Penelope

      They’re pretty awful.

    • Lenia

And the fact the “Breathe. Please” is your only response…. You don’t even back yourself up with information to prove your point or admit you were wrong.

    • Cassandra Hough

I personally don’t find Blake Lively very interesting. I didn’t say she wasn’t nice or that she was a bad person. That’s my opinion. On an opinion-based celebrity blog, no less. There are plenty of stories on this site about celebrities we love and admire.

    • M_G

The funny thing about an opinion….it’s not a fact, so it doesn’t require back-up information and references.

  • markmywords

This trailer might have been a funny idea, but to release it regarding recent events, I think it’s highly inappropriate. It’s like them saying “We can’t help our family behaving ghetto, but look who we’re friends with!”. So you moved on as a united family or you’re deflecting the story to people you can brag about knowing? Big pile of bullcrap.

    • Jenny

But their family fueds aren’t really our business…

    • markmywords

You could say none of all the gossip floating around is anybody’s business…

    • FauxRealFaux

Behaving ghetto? Side note: you do get that Beyoncé and Solange grew up in an upper middle class neighborhood provided by their extremly hard working parents. I will wager that your upbringing wasnt as privileged and that is why you are online behaving like trailer trash.

    • M_G

I would also bet that there’s not video evidence of domestic violence involving markmywords floating around the internet. I can understand why you might take issue with the phrase “behaving ghetto,” but insulting her isn’t helping your point.

    • FauxRealFaux

Please, I don’t know what Markmywords has going on, I just know that she is behaving like trailer trash.

    • M_G

Oh, okay. Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion and to share it (FYI, see her comment above; English isn’t her first language). But as long as we’re sharing opinions, allow me to do the same: you need to dial back your attitude. Nobody is acting like trailer trash. Someone just misspoke.

    • Guest

Solange attacking Jay Z was not behaving ghetto. Period.

    • M_G

Yes…..and, had you bothered to read the other comments on this thread, you would have seen that the original commenter (markmywords) already explained that English isn’t her first language and apologized for misspeaking. There’s nothing more to be said on this subject. Period.

    • markmywords

      Thank you so very much.

    • FauxRealFaux

Thanks for confirming that I’m entitled to my opinion. Not sure why you feel the need to act like a 3rd rate mediator but it sure isn’t required or needed. I find it really trailer of you to assume that I have an attitude. I mean, like, don’t you, like, have a husband/brother to go wake up, like now?

    • M_G

Wow….is it lonely up there on your soapbox? I was saying that you’re attacking this person for absolutely no reason, that your accusations are baseless, and that if anyone on this thread is acting like a classless, trashy, trailer-park bitch, it’s you. I realize you think you’ve got something to prove, but unless you’re trying to prove how ignorant and foolish you are, I wholeheartedly suggest coming up with better arguments and/or prying that stick out of your ass.

    • FauxRealFaux

I see you are trolling for dates online. Good luck to you!

    • markmywords

Thank you. English is not my first language, so I might not have expressed myself accordingly.
What Solange did in that elevator is considered trashy behavior where I’m from. It’s the kind of behavior that is expected from people who are from/live in the ghetto (although there are no real ghettos where I live). In lack of better expression and avoiding to write a novel to explain what exactly I mean, I wrote the expression that you don’t like. If I hurt anyone’s feelings with it, I apologize.

Nobody can choose their upbringing, but everybody can choose the way they behave and solve conflicts. Beyonce, Solange, KKKJs, Kanye, etc. show us very clearly that you can behave trashy even if you have an upbringing with a highly accomplished academic background. A good background is no guarantee for anything these days.

No, there are no videos of me being involved in domestic violence. I despise every form of violence, even if it’s called “sports”. In fact, I think the media loves having “proof” of that “angry black woman” prejudice they’ve been trying to pin on M. Obama for years.

Releasing this trailer at this given time appears to me as if they’re trying to deflect from the elevator incident in order to brag about their high profile friends. Isn’t there a saying about you can choose your friends, but you can’t choose your relatives? This looks like backstabbing to me.

    • M_G

No worries! It’s considered trashy behavior here in the states, too. :-)

    • FauxRealFaux

I find it idiotic for anyone to classify an entire group by the actions of one person. Solange attacking her brother in law is not indicative of all black women nor is it reflective of how people living in the ghetto behave. I take issue with the usage of “ghetto” because I think its code for “black” and offensive to impoverished people residing in subpar living conditions.

I’m pretty sure that there are slums where you are from.

The trailer was created prior to their invasion of privacy and released to coincide with their upcoming tour. As far as their ‘ bragging about theirhigh profile friends’ I actually think that the folks appearing in the trailer were paid and should be honored to appear with Beyoncé and Jay Z. What exactly is so brag worthy about the ‘high-profile’ folks in the video….

    • M_G

I find it idiotic that you’re twisting the original post, which specifically only talked about the people in the elevator, and claiming the commenter is targeting all black women. Setting aside the fact that the commenter admitted that English isn’t her first language (AND the fact that she apologized, which you’re ignoring in order to continue this indignant rant of yours), there is NOTHING in the original comment to support what you’re saying.

    • FauxRealFaux

I see that you are enthralled and obsessed with Mark so I will attempt to understand that reading comprehension isn’t your forte.

My response to her ‘angry black woman’ statement was logical and wasn’t non sequitor. It is idiotic ( much like yourself) to make a sweeping generalization on all people based on the actions of a few. Solange attacking her brother in law is indicative of Solange not of black women. Nor is her behavior ghetto.

I give two cares about English being her second language since she is more than able to communicate her viewpoint. She sure does not need you as her cheerleader.

    • M_G

First, if your going to use big words, a) make sure you know what they mean, and b) make sure you know how to spell them. This is the Internet. It really shouldn’t be that hard, even for a self-righteous crone such as yourself. Second, since you keep repeating the same (incorrect) argument and insults, I am going to go ahead and assume you can’t be bothered to pull your head out of your ass long enough to defend your points. So I’m just going to go ahead and let you stew in your bitterness and catch you later.

    • FauxRealFaux

Relax. Your virtual feelings seem to be oddly hurt. Anytime someone resorts to red penning spelling errors-it means their getting a litte sensitive.

Thank you for working as my personal spell checker. I know that after you Googled ‘sequitor’ and noticed I was off by one letter- it gave you a special kind of thrill. (You got me good ’cause I should have spelled it SEQUITUR)

Anywho- back to my bitter stew.

    • M_G

Hurt feelings? Not in the least. I would have to care about this exchange before I could have my feelings hurt, and we are arguing on a celebrity gossip site, which is so ridiculous it’s actually funny. I was even trying to take you seriously at first…you know, before your responses dissolved into (lame) name calling. And honestly, I was just impressed that your vocabulary went beyond conjugating the word “trailer” seven different ways. So kudos.
