Jennifer Lawrence Almost Falls Again At Her Movie Premiere, Should Maybe Go See A Doctor

Jennifer Lawrence X-Men Days of Future Past world premiere New York City May 2014

This weekend at the world premiere of her new movie X-Men: Days of Future Past in New York City, Jennifer Lawrence nearly pulled a repeat of her infamous 2013 Oscar fall… which she already repeated earlier this year… at the Oscars. I guess her feet just decided it was time they tried out a new venue for clumsiness, because falling twice at the Oscars has got to be like wearing the same outfit to two different events. Such a faux pas. Gotta prove you’re capable of falling somewhere else.

Here’s how it happened. Pay special attention so you know exactly how to tell the story to your future grandchildren as you sit in your rocking chair regaling them with celebrity gossip from your youth. Jen was walking up a set of stairs on the red black carpet when she lost her balance and was photographed flashing a “Quick, somebody help me or everyone will officially be sick of me forever!” face before two assistants (I wouldn’t be surprised if they were hired to deal with just this kind of incident) grabbed her by both arms to steady her. No fall this time, but there are still plenty of high heels and long dresses to be worn before the movie is released.

In the photo above, she’s going down the steps, but if I know anything about clumsiness, it’s that it does not care which direction you’re walking or how many people are around to gawk at you; when gravity wants to wrestle with you, it’s pulling you down. So I don’t blame that assistant for keeping a strong grip on her. But maybe she should also make her an appointment with a professional about this? As in a medical professional? Who could determine if she has some kind of inner ear problem? Or prescribe shorter dresses and more practical shoes? If she keeps this up, they might have to start installing one of those stair lifts at every event she attends.

Maybe she has an inner ear problem?

    • Jill O’Rourke

      Precisely.

On an unrelated note, why is she now dressing like I did for my eighth grade graduation?

    • Jill O’Rourke

Yeah for real. Is that crushed velvet?

    • Alexis Rhiannon

      With spaghetti straps, no less!

      THE HAIR.

I think she needs a break. She’s no longer bubbly like she use to.

High-heeled sandals are hard to walk in, especially if you’re not used to wearing them. I’ll say that in her defense. But maybe it’s a case of needing glasses and not wearing them in public, but also not wearing contacts. Don’t know if that’s the case, but it’s starting to look that way. I don’t believe Jennifer is doing this to get attention because she already gets too much attention anyway.

I would think she was faking it if I didn’t trip every time I put heels on.

The combo of heels and a long dress is especially dangerous.
