If there is one thing to envy about celebrities (you know, outside of their money, massive success, and limited-edition Birkin bags) it’s their consistently radiant skin. Every time I look at a photo of Jennifer Aniston I desperately wish that I could get my hands on whatever magic potion this 45-year-old actress is taking to make her skin look like it is glowing from within. Luckily, I did some research, and there’s good news for us normals — it turns out that Jennifer Aniston’s skincare routine has nothing to do with magic after all. In fact, her skincare routine is completely replicable! She’s not the only celebrity who can teach you a thing or two about how to properly care for your skin. Here are 7 skincare tips from your favorite celebrities that will help you get gorgeous, glowing skin.
1. Ditch crow’s feet with this technique.
Jennifer Aniston combats those pesky eye wrinkles by slathering petroleum jelly around her eyes before bed. (Just be extra careful not to get the petroleum jelly in your eyes. Fuzzy vision is never fun.)
2. Vitamin C isn’t just a 90s pop star…
…it’s an awesome way to get your skin glow-y! Halle Berry coats her face in pure Vitamin C before moisturizing.
3. It’s all about moisturizing.
At least, according to Minka Kelly, whose skin still looks as healthy as it did when she played a high school cheerleader on Friday Night Lights. Minka swears by moisturizing post-shower so that your skin doesn’t dry out. Don’t forget to moisturize your face as well.
4. Don’t forget to add sugar.
Sugar doesn’t have a great rep in the nutrition department, and some reports even claim that eating too much sugar can have a nasty effect on your skin. 5. Try some “liquid gold.”
AKA, argan oil. Marian Cotillard uses this essential oil to give parched skin a fresh, dewy look. Rub a dime-sized amount of the oil onto clean hands and work gently over your face.
6. Throw on some shades.
Sunglasses do more than hide celebrities’ faces from the paparazzi — they also do wonders protecting their skin from damaging UV rays. Eternally young celebrities like Jennifer Lopez never forget to have an extra pair of shades on hand.
7. Drink lots of water.
Moisturizing does wonders for making parched skin look healthy, but it’s just as important to make sure that your entire body is hydrated. Naomi Watts drinks plenty of water to keep her skin hydrated from the inside out.
