Oh These? Just Photos Of Selena Gomez Getting Served Legal Papers At The Convenience Store

Selena Gomez being served legal papers in Los Angeles March 2014

You know that thing where you’re out on a sunny day in Los Angeles rocking your cutest cut-off shorts and sipping on a soda from the convenience store when suddenly a lady in a pink scarf approaches you and is like, “Hey there, here are some nice shiny legal papers for you. Have a nice day”? Well apparently now Selena Gomez does, because yesterday she was photographed getting served. So not only do you now know that Selena Gomez was served yesterday, but you can also see it happening with your very own eyes. #AMERICA

So what do these documents pertain to, exactly? There’s speculation that it was a subpoena to testify in a lawsuit against Justin Bieber. What a surprise, Selena making the news for something related to Justin Bieber. We never hear about that, except for all the times we totally do. The lawsuit was filed by a paparazzo claiming Bieber attacked him in May 2012 when he was trying to take his photo in a parking lot. The paparazzo claims Bieber “delivered a martial-arts type kick” to his rib cage before punching him and pushing him against a car.

How does this concern Selena? She allegedly then got out of the car and yelled, “Just, stop! They’re taking your picture!” Inflicting physical violence on someone without being photographed? Meh. Inflicting physical violence on someone while being photographed? STOP IT RIGHT NOW.

This is a separate lawsuit from the one Bieber gave that bratty deposition to end all bratty depositions for earlier this month, in which another paparazzo claims he was assaulted by Bieber’s bodyguard. The attorney for that paparazzo told E! News these new papers for Selena didn’t come from his office, but they are also planning to serve her. So buckle your seatbelts, because we might be getting another set of photos to add to our “Selena Gomez Gets Served” scrapbook. Remember when we just had to hear about this stuff through the grapevine without having pretty pictures to look at? We’ve come so far.

Just imagining how terrible I’d look in this outfit. Or any outfit I’d be wearing to the convenience store. I guess it’s lucky I’m not a celebrity.

I will never, as long as I live, master the “shorts with flats” look. It’s so simple yet so impossible for me.
