Justin Bieber Wouldn’t Meet With A Cancer Patient, So Miley Cyrus Stepped In And Was Kinda Just As Bad

Miley Cyrus 2014 Pre-Grammys Gala January 26 2014 Beverly Hills California

Miley Cyrus met with a 7 year-old cancer patient, also named Miley, and allegedly screwed up the whole thing. Radar Online reports that the Make-A-Wish Foundation arranged for little Miley Hodge to meet with not-little Miley Cyrus after receiving word from doctors that her aggressive Stage IV Osteosarcoma has left her with roughly 6 months to live. Actually, she originally wanted to meet with Justin Bieber but he’s got a busy life of getting strange tattoos and publicly sexting Selena Gomez so he couldn’t make it. But it’s not like Miley Cyrus’ standing in for him made things any better.

“The family went to Los Angeles and were put off for nearly a week before they met [Cyrus]. They finally met at the recording studio and from what I understand, Cyrus was more interested in what she was doing in the studio than paying attention to the little girl.”

What?? Nooo, Miley! Cyrus, not Hodge. This is proving to be very confusing. Anyway, this account of what went down is the opposite of what’s supposed to happen when you meet with any fan, let alone one who just wanted the chance to meet you in her final months.

I’m currently trying to will myself believe that this is all some sort of misunderstanding and that Miley certainly didn’t disregard the little girl, at the very least not on purpose. I’m usually very good at willing myself to believe many things, like, for example, that celebrity breakups aren’t actually happening. But the fact that Miley’s family has resumed their campaign to get Justin to meet with her is doing a pretty good job at convincing me that it just might be.

So, does this mean that Miley ruined this little girl’s experience so badly that she needs a quick rewind and redo to fix things? Or does it mean that the meeting was fine and she’d just also like to meet Justin? Fingers crossed that it’s the latter because it would be bad on all fronts if the former is true.

Oh crushable, stop this. Everyone knows Bieber meets with sick kids all the time, hasn’t he granted the most make-a-wish wishes of any musician? Bringing him into this seems ridiculous.

Why does it seem ridiculous if the fact is that this specific kid is trying to meet him as well? I apologize if it seems like I’m trying to discredit Justin’s past visits with sick kids; I didn’t mean to!

Trying to make them both sound like jerks to get people to read an article just isn’t a good look in my opinion. Plus I’m sure if his team knew about this, they’d set something up, just my guess though. I get that it’s your job to write these articles (so nothing personal), and that it’s celeb gossip, just think there was a more tactful way to write this story than going for the “bash bieber/miley to get clicks” angle.

      Fair enough.

I’m calling foul on this. There are pictures of the meet & greet and Cyrus is spending time with her. Hodges dad even said they were happy with how it went down and they just want little Miley to be able to meet Justin too. Not sure how this rumor got started in the first place…

Ok, I googled some more and apparently this meeting happened in 2012. I honestly straight up refuse to believe this rumor now and assume the family just wants a chance to meet Bieber too and is throwing g Cyrus under the bus. http://memisupport.wordpress.com/2012/12/18/miley-cyrus-meets-a-very-special-make-a-wish-fan/

Hmm, that’s good to know. And the person quoted here is reportedly a family member of Miley H’s, but you could be right. It’d be such a shame if that were the case.

  • Aaron

so there’s literally nothing in the article that tells you anything…… I can’t be the only one who realizes this lol at least the shit on http://www.mugshotmugz.com is hilarious

Olivia, I’m not sure where you’re getting your facts from but it isn’t planet Earth.

Justin Bieber was not contacted over this young girl and the parents have said they were happy with their meet with Miley.

The source Radar Online is quoting is bogus.

What you have done by putting up an article that is based on a false piece of information is essentially piss on the 5 years of solid work Bieber has done with Make-A-Wish since 2009, during which he has met 200 children and in fact holds the record as the biggest recording artist contributor.

Where is the integrity in publishing false information that unfairly drags someone into a story that didn’t have legs to begin with?

Please update your post, contact the reps of the artists, and the Hodges and make this right.

Words are powerful and they have effect.

In fact you know exactly where she’s getting her facts, because you refer to them later on in your comment — Radar Online.
