By now you’ve probably seen Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s Vogue cover more times than you would prefer. You’ve also probably seen plenty of Photoshopped spoofs of said cover. In fact, you might have actually seen the cover in its spoofy form more than its original form, and that’s really as it should be. What isn’t as it should be is Kendall and Kylie Jenner’s contribution to the trend. It’s just… no. Just no.
Kylie shared the picture on her Twitter yesterday, with the caption “Sorry Kim.” Yeah, you should be sorry, not because it’s making fun of your sister, but because this is just a really sad spoof. Is it even a spoof? Is that a word we’re going to use to describe this?

I just can’t get over the complete lack of laughter my body experienced upon looking at this. I was so lacking in laughter that I started to laugh at how much I wasn’t laughing. I gotta hand it to them, they thoroughly jumbled my emotions and I don’t know if I’ll ever be the same again.
The whole thing is just a recipe for sadness, and it’s not even because the Photoshopping is sloppy. Messiness can actually make things funnier. It’s mostly because they’re like a week late to the joke party, but also because putting Kimye’s family members on their bodies just does nothing for me in the LOL department. What’s the joke? Incest? That makes me uncomfortable.
This had to have been Kris Jenner’s idea, but to be fair I’m pretty sure everything is. She was probably wide awake one night drinking a warm cup of melted gold and brainstorming, when suddenly it hit her: “Of course, I’ll put my family members’ faces over the faces of my other family members! Double the attention, double the fun! Why haven’t I thought of this before?!” And now we have this beautiful masterpiece to enjoy. #Blessed.
