Joey Gladstone Made A Homophobic Hunger Games Joke On Twitter, And All I Gotta Say Is ‘Cut It Out’

joey gladstone cut it out full house

Look, I’ll be straight up honest with you. I never liked Joey Gladstone. Even as a child, I found his jokes on Full House to be far too juvenile for my taste. And I found his choice of bedroom decor to be far too suspect for a grown man. So naturally, my inability to separate actors from the characters they play meant that I never liked Dave Coulier either. And you oughta know that learning about his relationship with Alanis Morissette years later didn’t help his case. (Cue “And every time I scratch my nails down someone else’s back I hope you feel it” being stuck in my head for the rest of the day.)

With that said, I haven’t thought about him in years. I dislike so many celebrities irrationally that they all can’t be at the forefront of my brain every single day. However he’s front and center right now due to his lovely tweet this morning about The Hunger Games. To be completely honest, I don’t really know what he’s talking about here. But I do know that we’re not really using words like “queens” and “trannies” these days because it’s 2014 and C’MON.

I’ll speak on behalf of all ’90s kids here and say that the only thing sadder for us than seeing actors from our favorite corny family TV shows fade into obscurity is seeing them pop back up as horrible people. And okay fine, maybe I shouldn’t write Dave Coulier off as horrible but quite yet. But as someone still dealing with the trauma that is Kirk Cameron Christ, I want to prepare myself for what might come next. So Dave, I’ll say to you what you said way too many times on Full House, cut it out.

Also H/T to Cassy for pointing this out to me on Twitter with her rapid fire RT!

I mean don’t most people obsessively refresh their Twitter feed when they’re supposed to be working?

I honestly don’t even know what he’s trying to say with this joke. Am I stupid? Naive? Idk but when you have to have a joke explained I don’t think it’s a good one. And queens and trannies? Blegh. And could somebody please explain this joke to me?

I know…I sat there for 10 minutes trying to figure out what I was missing.

I imagine he is talking about the Capital and their crazy fashion, but it was pretty unnecessary.

That’s all i could possibly figure

If by “queens” you mean Queen Elizabeth II et al and by “trannies” you mean people who ride on trains, then Dave Coulier, you are hilarious and when all the Internets.
    Otherwise, you’re a dbag.

Was he trying to be funny?

You’re so right about all the “actors” from that show turning out to be hot messes. The babies are anorexic fur hags, middle sis is a meth-head, big sis is a kooky born-again, dad is a foul-mouthed jerk, Stamos is a rampant womanizer, and then this guy – good lord, of all people to want to go down on in a theater, Alanis chose HIM?

you oughta know wasn’t about him actually it was about a hockey player so..

He’s now taken to selling rocks and t-shirts with his now 25 year old saying that he didn’t even come up with. Very sad statement for guy hanging on to the past. Shouldn’t he be farming somewhere, raising chickens with his other phobic buddies? Not cool to bash on people @davecoulier , as you have sewed plenty of hurtful things to people who did nothing to do you. Perhaps you are getting exactly what you deserve.
