You’ll Love This Adam Sandler And Drew Barrymore Love Song More Than A Rom-Com Loves Cliches

Adam Sandler Drew Barrymore Jimmy Fallon singing Tonight Show 2014

Last night Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon together in anticipation of their upcoming movie Blended. While they were there, they sang a cute song about their past rom-com collaborations. Can you believe it’s been ten years since 50 First Dates? Just think about all the first dates Henry and Lucy have had since then. And by dates I of course mean mornings when Lucy woke up on a strange boat with a strange husband and a strange child and had no idea what was happening.

Anyway, back to Adam and Drew’s song. It’s called the “Every 10 Years” song, which is technically inaccurate since they starred in The Wedding Singer only six years before 50 First Dates. But when you ignore that little detail, this song will charm your socks off. And then when your feet get cold from the lack of socks, it’ll warm your heart so much that the warmth will radiate to your feet and you’ll feel better right away. They even manage to make boners and crack cocaine sound sweet. It’s so charming you’ll be tempted to schedule a rom-com marathon this weekend. So many pretty women falling over, so little time.

As if Drew and Adam weren’t enough on their own, Jimmy Fallon third wheels it on the guitar, which automatically makes any love song more adorable. And Drew’s growing baby bump (which was so surprising to me when she stood up I expected it to go “BOO!”) is just precious. Almost as precious as the fact that she tears up a little at the end. It’s the perfect video to make you smile in the morning. Just try to ignore the fact that Adam Sandler looks like he just came from the gym and is sporting a black eye which he doesn’t really explain.

Adam Sandler is far from one of my favorite people, but I do love him and Drew Barrymore together. The Wedding Singer is still one of my most favorite movies.
