In More Taylor Swift Evil Genius News, She Dances At Award Shows Because She Knows It Will Get Her Attention

Taylor Swift dancing awkward awards shows

While we can debate all the live long day about the pros and cons of Taylor Swift, I think Swifties and Haterz can all agree that she’s a marketing mastermind when it comes to her music. She’s learned exactly what people want from her and she delivers it each time. Do you think she enjoys being known as the world’s foremost revenge lyricist? Of course not. No one aspires to grow up to be the president of the She-Woman Man-Hating Club. But that’s her niche and that’s where she’s successful. So expect her next album to be just as full of relationship riddles as “Red.”

Also expect her to keep on awkwardly dancing at award shows! As (totally legit) sources reveal exclusively to Hollywood Life, Taylor knows exactly what she’s doing when she stands up at award shows and dances like the mom stuck chaperoning her daughter’s 7th grade class to a Taylor Swift concert.

“Taylor can take the good, but really can’t take the bad. She loves dancing during shows and she knows the cameras will be on her,” a source

See that there? She KNOWS the cameras will be on her. This isn’t her just “feeling” her competitor’s music and feeling inspired to get down — and you know she calls it “getting down” during impromptu slumber party dance parties with her best friends — this is her putting on her evil genius hat and doing what it takes to be in the spotlight. Even if the spotlight’s supposed to be on someone else. Like the person PERFORMING on stage. It’s almost like a backhanded compliment. If backhanded compliments came to life and looked like this:

I’m still convinced that she started in the country music industry because it was easier to break into that and then become the pop star she always dreamed of being. The girl is really good at being famous. She should teach a class.

I agree with this 100%. Country stations are still playing her music though…..

Sounds like you don’t know much about the country music world. It’s actually very difficult to break into; it’s very insular and tight and reluctant to accept new people. It’s also very hard to crossover from country into pop and the number of artists who have done it successfully in the last 20 years can be counted on one hand. There’s no way it can be considered some kind of easy route to pop superstardom.

Also, while Taylor is undoubtably very smart about her career, she first started on her country music career when she was 10/11 years old. I think it’s a little much to assume complex career machinations from her before middle school.

Well ALL music industries are hard to break into, but the pop music industry is known to eat people alive and break a lot of people. And I’m a huge, huge, huge fan of Taylor and I have been for years. I am in no way saying she doesn’t deserve to be where she is, I think she just had a plan. She’s revolutionized country music, and she’s got the Country Music Pinnacle Award to prove it. I’m just saying there’s no way all she wanted to be was a country artist when she had one album that was all country and her second album went into a more pop route and evolved from there. She’s a brilliant girl when it comes to her business, and that’s all I’m saying.

I love seeing Julian Lennon in the background of the second gif; I can only imagine what’s going through his head as TSwift blocks his entire view of the stage.

      • Ria

I believe that’s Sean Lennon but wow, you have a good eye. I never would’ve noticed him.

      • Alison

You’re right; wrong Lennon son! I noticed it during the actual telecast and thought, “He and Yoko must be like, ‘Down in front, long arms!’”

Someone needs to tell her she can’t dance, this is just embarrassing. Who would want to publicly dance in front of the likes of Beyonce and so many others who really can dance?

Sometimes when I’m at a show/concert I like to dance however I feel like. I’m not ashamed to show I’m having a great time. Taylor was a girl at one of the best concerts anyone has to offer… and she acted like it. Good for her! You sound like a great time.
