Looks like it’s time for you to come up with a new boy band to confuse One Direction with, because The Wanted is officially breaking up.
I know you guys — this is a rough one. Where else are you gonna find five British guys who don’t play instruments? And even if you do find them, how can you guarantee that one of them will be worth punching a woman in the face over, like Lindsay Lohan did for Max George at that club in 2012? Or that you’ll come up with somebody like Nathan Sykes, who dated Ariana Grande before she was popular? (Only to get cheated on for his troubles.) These are one-in-a-lifetime things, guys! I’m not ready to say goodbye!
But we’re all gonna have to, as Max, Nathan, Siva Kanaswaran, Tom Parker, and Jay McGuiness (yes, I did have to look those last three names up, thank you for asking) posted on their website today that The Wanted is no more…just as soon as they finish the tour they’re on right this very minute.
“This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”
But you guys! Who will One Direction Twitter-feud with now? YOU’RE TEARING US APART. Or putting us back together, I guess…since you won’t be fighting. But whatever.
We just want to say thanks again to you all for your massive love and support, it means so much to us. We love you guys!

Sounds pretty definitive to me, but if you’re a die-hard fan, Tom Parker’s your man, because he’s under the impression that this is a temporary thing:
Just want to say…It’s a break, not the end. You can’t get rid of us that easily haha! x

Sorry not sorry I’m about to quote Friends, but WE WERE ON A BREAK.
