If you live in New York City or the surrounding area, you’re probably looking out your windows right now with a little trepidation. After all, the snow is really coming down outside, and some of us (me) wore a pair of non-waterproof yarn boots to work. This commute home is gonna be pretttttty sketchy.
But there’s no use worrying about it until I’m actually stomping around in it, so I need something to get my mind off of Polar Vortex Part Deux. And you might require that as well, so you’ll be pleased to hear that I HAVE JUST THE THING.
It’s a glorious parody of the song ‘Let It Go’ from Frozen, which we’ve already been obsessing about for months now. In fact, this is pretty great timing, because I wasn’t sure how many more times I could blast the original while pretending to ice skate around my apartment in socks and underoos. Probably a few more, but it’s still awesome to have this new variation on it, especially because it’s so hilarious.
It’s created by NYC comedians Mike Kelton and Morgan Miller (who happen to be on an improv with me, so I feel very famous and hilarious by proxy), and sung by Emma Hunton. And guys — it’s GREAT. It narrates what Elsa would be singing if she wasn’t such a stressed-out princess lady. Mostly about her cape and her lesbian relationship with Margaret Cho.
Oh and the reason she made that big ice old palace in the first place? SHE’S A REALTOR. Have fun singing ‘my clit was an icicle anyway’ over and over to yourself as my gay boys did to me all yesterday during brunch. (I am a walking stereotype.)
