Bieber’s Friend Lil Za Was Arrested Again Inside Jail, But He Sounds Like Such A Good Influence

Justin Bieber's Friend Lil Za Arrested in Calabasas January 2014

As you may or may not be aware, yesterday was quite an eventful day for Justin Bieber. Cops raided his Calabasas mansion looking for evidence in that harmless little egg-throwing incident from last week. You know, the one that only caused $20,000 in damage to his neighbor’s house. Ugh, it’s only a felony, let him be an artist! While Bieber hasn’t been arrested just yet, his friend Lil Za, who was living in his home, certainly was. It wasn’t for eggs, though. It was for drug possession. It was first reported that cocaine was found, but it turns out it was actually molly (a form of ecstasy, as we’ve learned from Miley) and Xanax. And it was right there in plain view.

I’m sure we’d all expect a friend of Justin Bieber’s who’s in possession of illegal drugs to be very cooperative with the police, but it turns out that wasn’t the case. Lil Za — real name Xavier Smith — was apparently minutes away from posting his $20,000 bail when he was arrested for a second time while inside the jail for vandalism. Apparently Za was so furious about his circumstances that he damaged a phone. His bail was then reportedly adjusted to $70,000. He was released late last night.

I know it sounds crazy, since Lil Za seems like such a good influence, but Bieber’s team reportedly didn’t want him around. According to Radar Online, members of Bieber’s entourage, including his manager Scooter Braun, had told Bieber to kick Za and his other friend Lil Twist out of his house. But of course Bieber is an adult who can make his own horrible decisions, egg-related or otherwise, so he didn’t listen. “I like Lil Za and Lil Twist,” I imagine him saying. “Lil Za says his dad is Pete Za, and Lil Twist is the son of a tornado. They’re crazy fun to hang out with. Now bring me my bottle.”

That Bieber sure does pick great people to hang around with, doesn’t he? Now all we have to do is wait for the egg to hit the fan. Will this kid ever have to face the consequences for his actions, or will he continue to power his fame machine using tattoo ink and the screams of teenage girls? Only time will tell.
