I talk a big game about loving Chipotle and Sherlock and my boyfriend and puppies and Twitter feuds and whatever, but at the end of the day, I’d give it all up for bloopers. No matter how many times I tell you that ‘this is my new favorite thing’, it really won’t be, because bloopers are still in the world. It might have been a while since I saw any good ones, but the next time I do, everything else goes right out the window.
And what are the best kind of bloopers? News bloopers. Obviously. So imagine my joy and elation when I discovered that the Best News Bloopers Of 2013 are out already, even though there are technically five more days of the year in which truly glorious mistakes could happen. Oh well. We’ll pick them up next year. Better to focus on the complete amazingness in this compilation video. It’s fifteen minutes long, but I laughed out loud pretty much all the way through it, and I’m already chomping at the bit to watch it again. It’s that good.
It’s also organized into categories, with multiple clips of people stumbling over their words, inadvertently saying innuendos, getting harassed by drunks during live shoots, swearing on air, and my two favorites — people falling down and people not realizing that they’re live. I can’t decide which I like more. Probably people falling down, but there’s a sequence that starts at 12:25 that makes me question that decision. And all the time in my life that I’ve wasted not watching it.
I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS, BE OBSESSED WITH ME.
