Celebrities would have us believe that everything they do is real and genuine. They pick up their dog’s poop and buy toilet paper and do other bathroom-related things. And they also have legit relationships that aren’t invented by publicists. Ha, we know better than that. One of our favorite celebrity phenomenons of 2013 is the fakelationship. And one of the most important parts of a fakelationship is getting photographed together being totally “in love.”
But fakelationships aren’t the only situations that call for staged photos. Sometimes a celeb just really needs attention, so they make sure they’re in the right place doing the right thing at the right time, and also that there’s someone there with a camera to document it. So with that in mind, we are proud to present the most staged celebrity photos of 2013. Of course we can’t be totally sure these photos aren’t spontaneous and real, but it’s just more fun this way.
Over the summer, a love story blossomed between Superman and the girl from The Big Bang Theory, and it was beautiful and tender and totally orchestrated for publicity. They broke up after two seconds and we later found out that Kaley was already seeing her now-fiance at that point, but before they went their separate ways they had a lovely time grocery shopping together. Is the food in those bags even real? We’ll never know.
Despite saying he’d never date Jennifer Lawrence because of her age, Bradley Cooper decided to start “dating” a model even younger than her, and one of their couple activities this summer was posing for the paparazzi in a Paris park. They read books, they looked at their phones, they sat in each other’s laps, they wore their hair up, they wore their hair down. They gave the paps as many options as they could think of, and it was beautiful.
Because Justin Bieber is a charitable little angel who never does wrong, he handed money to a homeless woman earlier this year. Just Bieber being Bieber. Oh, and he also made sure it was caught on camera and then shared the photo on Instagram to brag about it. So spontaneous and selfless, am I right?

Before Taylor officially adopted Lorde as her new BFF, they were kind of at odds. Lorde said some not-so-flattering things about Taylor in the press, but they made up over some fries in the freezing cold. If they had done it in private, how would a fan have been there to photograph it and share it on Twitter, silly?
Miley and Liam officially called off their engagement earlier this year, but before that they were still trying to convince us that they were totally fine. That involved actually being photographed together, which hadn’t happened in quite some time. So they stood next to each other in fancy clothes like true professionals.
