6. Ashley Benson
Before she was on Pretty Little Liars, Ashley had her first kiss on the set of the soap opera Days of Our Lives at age 15. Sounds like a pretty cool story, but Ashley wasn’t as thrilled. She told Teen Vogue: “The guy playing my boyfriend was in his 20s. I was like, ‘This is my first real kiss. So don’t be creepy!’ Everybody on set thought it was the cutest thing.”
7. Jesse Eisenberg
Jesse Eisenberg is quoted as saying his first (open-mouth?) kiss was with Jennifer Beals on the set of their movie Roger Dodger when he was 18. He said he hadn’t even been on a date before that: “It was my first kiss with my mouth open like that. She was every man’s fantasy since 1980, so it was awesome.”
8. Selena Gomez
Before she was horrifying Taylor Swift by kissing Justin Bieber, Selena had her first kiss onscreen at age 12 with fellow Disney star Dylan Sprouse when she guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Turns out even Selena’s first kiss was awkward: “I actually leaned him to kiss him and I had my eyes closed a little too early and I ended up missing like half of his lips. So it ended up being the most awkward kiss in the world.”
9. Anna Chlumsky
Everybody remembers Anna’s adorable kiss with Macaulay Culkin in My Girl. And then we remember the rest of My Girl and cry. But back to the kiss. When the movie came out and they won Best Kiss at the MTV Movie Awards, Anna joked, “Gee, my first kiss and I get an award.” Stop, I can’t handle the cuteness.
10. Victoria Justice
Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice can bond with Selena Gomez through the fact that they both had first kisses with a Sprouse twin. She kissed Cole Sprouse at age 11 for Suite Life. It was also in front of a live audience. Victoria sounds very professional about it: “You can’t really look at it as something romantic, because at the end of the day it is like a job and it is work. So you have to keep that in mind unfortunately, ladies.”
11. Saoirse Ronan
What’s more awkward that trying to pronounce Saoirse’s name? Her first kiss, apparently. It was for the Amy Heckerling film I Could Never Be Your Woman when she was 10. Heckerling said it should be 10 seconds long: “I told her that was too long. Then she said five seconds.” Apparently Saoirse stopped as soon as she counted to five. I probably would have done the same thing at that age.
