The story of Miles Scott, aka “Batkid”, just keeps getting better. After saving the city of San Francisco on Friday and warming the cold, dead hearts of people all over the country, the warmth just keeps spreading: actors who have portrayed Batman throughout the years have all come forward to show their Batkid support.
Am I the only one who loves stuff like this? Miles Scott may not be aware of the magnitude of his story right now, but I hope some day when he’s a healthy and happy grown-up he realizes the impact his life had on so many people. How many five-year-olds do you know who get shout-outs from superheroes? Batkid is clearly more creative than all of his peers who pick Disneyworld, I’ll tell you that much. Hell, just the fact that he went against the grain would be enough to make my heart swell with parental pride. It looks like all of our favorite “Batmen” feel the same way:

The original Batman, Adam West (also known as Mayor Adam West on Family Guy, FYI):
Christian Bale, who would be my personal favorite Batman if I had to choose (read: cared enough to choose), is too cool for Twitter but did take time out from shooting his latest movie to comment:
“I looked on the news and I saw all the pictures of him running around and saving people. It’s so touching. He must have been bewildered. Hopefully, later on, he’ll be able to look back and say, ‘Oh my God, how amazing.’ ”
Even Val Kilmer (whom I wouldn’t even know played Batman were it not for an episode of Friends where Ross gets to wear “Batman’s tux”) decided to join in the fun of cheering Miles on by adorably posting his support on his Facebook page:
