I’m not sure why I’m still clinging to the idea that I don’t have a crush on Tom Hiddleston. It’s technically true, because I’ve painstakingly avoided watching enough footage of him doing anything to become obsessed with him…but it’s only a matter of time, and I fear this video might be the tipping point.
I had the same issue with Benedict Cumberbatch, where everyone told me for months that I was destined to long for him as soon as I watched Sherlock or listened to him give an interview. And I put it off as long as I could, but then one day I caved and watched the whole BBC series in one weekend, and it was all over. I’m not necessarily a Cumberbitch, but I’m not necessarily not a Cumberbitch, either.
It’s just that I can’t go through that again, you guys. The shame of having to take back all the times I made fun of other people for being so into him…telling my family…revising my will. It was too much to bear. And that’s why I have to ask you, humble reader, to go on ahead and watch the following video without me. It’s of Tom in character as Loki yelling at some kids for a Comedy Central ad promoting Thor: The Dark World, and I just don’t think I can handle it.
I mean kids? Norse gods? Fake yelling? That doesn’t sound like it’s gonna be beneficial to my non-crush on Tom. I started watching it and there was already an adorable pout in the first ten seconds, so I knew I wasn’t gonna make it. So you guys just check it out and report back. It’s only thirty seconds and you know you already have a crush on him! C’mon! Do this for me? I just don’t have enough room in my crush pantheon for one more off-beat quirkster. My little mortal heart can’t take it.
