15 Times Justin Bieber’s Career Should Have Been Over

Justin Bieber attack GIFI am all about second chances, and sometimes even third and fourth and fifth chances, but do you want to know where I draw the line? Preeeettty much right after that, actually. There are only so many times that I’m willing to watch someone do stupid stuff with no consequences and keep my mouth shut about it. Which is why I’m not the biggest fan of Justin Bieber.

Because talk about a Grade A dick, you guys! When he was a little kid, back before his voice broke, his music was one of my guilty pleasures, embarrassingly enough, but sometime between then and now, something changed big time, and Justin turned into a nightmare. Specifically mine.

But since a lot of his fans are silly old tweens who are blinded by his abs, he hasn’t had any consequences to his behavior, which pisses me off. So I decided to harness my power (which is fairly close to nil) and make a list of all the times I think Justin’s career should have been over. There are a lot of them, so it wasn’t hard…

Justin Bieber Shirtless Laugh(via)

1. When he posted a photo to Instagram of his friend Pooh Bear holding what looks like a baggie of white powder. Hugs not drugs, Bieber.

Justin Bieber Balcony Wave(via)

2. When he speculated to the world that Anne Frank probably would have been a Belieber.

Justin Bieber Studio(via)

3. When he abandoned that monkey in Germany.

Justin Bieber Eating(via)

4. When he broke up with Selena Gomez.

Justin Bieber What Is Happening(via)

5. When he pissed in that bucket.

Justin Bieber Car Paparazzi(via)

6. When he got in that brawl.

Justin Bieber Excited(via)

7.  When he got carried up the Great Wall of China on his bodyguards’ shoulders like a goddamn boy king.

Justin Bieber Hair Shake(via)

8. When he leaped out of the car at that paparazzo like a deranged flying squirrel and threatened to kill him.

Justin Bieber Shrug(via)

9. When he started coming to his concerts two hours late.

Justin Bieber Car(via)

10. When he formed a BFF-ship with Chris Brown.

Justin Bieber Somebody To Love(via)

11. When he wore his first onesie.

Justin Bieber World(via)

12. When he thought he grew a mustache.

Justin Bieber Beauty and the Beat Laugh(via)

13. When he shirtlessly tried to sneak 15-year old Jaden Smith into that club in London.

Justin Bieber Sunglasses(via)

14. When he spit on his neighbor.

Justin Bieber Talking Late Night(via)

15. When he had a leopard-printed car.

I rest  my case.

i may not like justin bieber but whoever wrote this article is so foolish so breaking up with someone means his career should have ended..last time i checked i am pretty sure he make more money than selena and she has been in this game before him ..so that point is actually stupid

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Please let me know when you figure out whoever wrote this article.

      • Miss Isis

Keep going Alexis! I am loving your writing, you’re getting quite snarkastic! Bravo

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Oh my god I’m obsessed with that word. Did you make it up??

    • #heartbreaker

I have NEVER read an article as dumb as this one! No matter if you hate Justin or not, this article is childish! She states how silly old tweens like what he does, etc. but i swear, it sounds like a tween wrote this article, that’s how stupid it is!! Cause he grew a moustache and ended a relationship, he’s a bad kid? hahaha, then their are a lot of bad people in this world! idiots

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Strong words from someone who misuses the word ‘their’ right in the comment.

      • #heartbreaker

Is that your only comeback is pointing out my spelling mistakes? haha, At least i don’t write stupid articles like this one! Yes, I will agree, he has made some mistakes, but who hasn’t? but to say him having cars, moustache, and dumping his girlfriend is a career ender, then this article should be your career ender, cause you definitely need to grow up and maybe learn better skills at writing! I’m sure you can get more courses in university or something! Cause lets be real, Justin hasn’t done anything that any normal person his age has ever done! and when a person can show they are SO perfect, maybe you should write an article about that!

      • Miss Isis

I think her skills at writing are excellent, she correctly uses punctuation!

      • #heartbreaker

well damn, give her an award for that… haha oh right, she would never win an award for an article like this one! and even my wrong punctuation skills, you can’t even deny that, so bug off bitch!

      • Alexis Rhiannon

        Thank you for the award!!!

      • Alexis Rhiannon

        Thank you, Miss Isis!

      • Alexis Rhiannon

College courses are expensive, though! I’d prefer to keep making money at my career if that’s okay with you.

    • ivan

This is the most stupid hateful article i have read on Justin Bieber yet. Who wrote this, an Eminem fan? This shows why journalism is dead in this country; there is no fact checking, no interest except in the mistakes of others without any reference to their good deeds. Trash journalism at its finest display!

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Shoot, I was hoping my multiple references to 8 Mile in this post would fly under the radar.

      • zayn

damm you are so biased you shouldn’t even be a journalist..smh fact check this is so shit wtf does him and selena gomez breaking up have to d with his career last time i checked he is more successful

      • Alexis Rhiannon

I think the grammar key on your keyboard might be broken.

    • ivan

There is no case: this is the endless repetition of the usual smears exaggerated or false allegations on a good kid for which there has been no fact checking-you should be ashamed.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Explain to me how he’s a good kid. I gave you fifteen examples of how he’s not, so the ball’s in your court.

      • ivan

I will give you one: he was selected as one of the 10 most charitable celebrities in the pop world-google it. He is the main contributor to Pencils Of Promise which helps poor kids, builds schools, etc. He has, without the publicity other artists get, helped fans with cancer at his own expense. He has contributed to disaster relief in places like Haiti. Have you done that much for your fellow man. Now that’s the Judeo-Christian ethic!

      • Alexis Rhiannon

If he didn’t get publicity for helping fans with cancer, then how do you know about it?

      • ivan

I know, because for one thing, parents and staff of the institutions he visited had pics taken and made comments. Paps were not welcomed or notified of his visits or deeds. His fans know about these things that the media does not cover because they are interested only on such earth shaking things like having his security, as a fun prank ,carry him up the wall a small distance after which he walked the rest of the way as pics show. They are not just security, he treats them like friends.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

        Lucky them.

      • Jenni Moore

*applauds* ^^^ this comment and the other ones by this user are on point.

      • ivan

Thanks. I really hate to be sort of nasty. I am a guy Believer and hate the way he has been treated by the media; it is so unfair. I know enough about him to know he’s a really good person who makes mistakes as we all have but his mistakes are magnified in the media. Theyiegnore the many many good things he does.

      • Jenni Moore

Once again, I completely agree! If you actually dig into it and see what is ACTUALLY going on with him, you will see just how low our mainstream media has gotten. Sites and even well-respected news sources will only pick up a negative spin. If he does something good, I see basically nothing about it in my Google alerts. I know about all the amazing things he does for his fans, people and charitable organizations because I study his life (lol) and actually get the whole story.

      • ivan

One final word; I am a man of too many words-lol. He was cleared in the spitting and speeding cases in L.A. Where is the coverage of this in most of the media which trashed him over them? Such as Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Insider, Raderonline, Hollywoodlife, fox, Drudge, etc?

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Unfortunately, that’s not the kind of story that our readers have shown an interest in clicking, so we’ve tailored our coverage accordingly while still reporting the facts as they’re available.

      • Skizerz

you wanna know why he was cleared? because he’s a famous dweeb and they get away with murder. calling him a good kid is like calling hitler Jesus.

      • ivan

Sure, he pays off all officials on earth, Obama, the police in L.A. who dislike him, federal officials and so on. Most powerful celebrity in history! Amazing guy!

    • Chris

This article is completely pointless. I feel dumb just for reading such biased judgmental journalism. I agree that some of the things he’s done are stupid, but enough to end his career?

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Thanks for calling it journalism! That’s a real compliment!

    • Jenni Moore

This article is based ENTIRELY on your opinion, and very little in the realities of what actually occurred. It’s poorly thought-out and lacks A LOT of fact checking. Like, A LOT.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Here’s a question — you saw the video of him peeing in that bucket, right? And of him running over the top of the car in that brawl? And of him jumping out of the van and threatening that paparazzo?

Those are just three examples of things that actually occurred, so your phrasing that it’s based ‘entirely’ on my opinion is immediately wrong.

But which facts in particular are you interested in me checking?

      • Roma Jenco

The video showed a snapshot of events at South Pointe.

One of the waitresses at the scene said Rennalls’ provoked the fight.

The lawsuit he has lodged is clearly about money.

The mop bucket incident happened. No arguing with that.

But It doesn’t mean someone’s career should end or that a 19-year-old’s should be written off. Bieber isn’t the first boy to piss where he shouldn’t, not will he be the last.

As for paparazzo, no-one forces shutterbugs to harass and stalk people in order to make a living. At the time, in May 2012, EMT’s on the scene and later hospital staff found no evidence of injury on that photog. He has come forward now to make a buck.

To be honest Alexis, you should know all this already. You’re a sharp writer but you are missing a vital compassion chip. Can you imagine what it must be like to have your every teenage move analyzed and condemned?

      • Jenni Moore

I’m not wrong. You saying that his career should be over because he pissed in a bucket It’s all gossip! The things you have pointed out all have a “spin” and you’re interjecting your own opinion in each line. In all of your articles it’s clear that you have already made up your mind about him based on gossip stories you have heard on TMZ. You aren’t actually looking into each story. For things like the Anne Frank fiasco, he said “hopefully,” not “probably,” and it has been taken out of context. When he went to the museum he was talking with the workers about how Anne Frank was really into pop culture. They told him that she probably would have been a fan of his. Seeing as how he relates to most females on a fan-basis, it’s understandable that he would choose to relate to her in that way. And when you say that he broke up with Selena Gomez…that is obviously based on a lot of assumptions since we actually have NO idea what happened. I would advise you check your Jaden Smith claim, and be careful the way you word things.

As for the monkey, the brawl, and the bucket-pissing, I’ve got nothing. I don’t think he’s perfect, or that his antics are always the best choice. But let’s not pretend like this is unusual behavior from a 19-year-old. If I had the public following my every move when I was 19, it probably wouldn’t have always been pretty either. To say that his career should have ended because of these things is ridiculous. In all reality, nothing you have listed makes him a bad person. In fact, he is a really good person who gives back more than most celebrities and treats his fans with genuine love gratitude.

But you probably don’t care or understand. Enjoy your Bieber-hate party, I guess. Do you.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

He’s just not someone I like. I don’t know what else to tell you.

      • Jenni Moore

That’s obvi your choice, but you probably should learn a little more about him before you go slandering his name.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

I think it’s clear from this post that I already know way too much about him.

    • Roma Jenco

Yes, you’re right Alexis. This isn’t journalism. Well done on being a first class hack.

Unlike you, Bieber hasn’t you attacked you personally based on largely unsupported gossip but continues to live his life and do a huge amount of good into the bargain.

Justin has obviously made some mistakes in his life and has done so under a relentless spotlight. For you to not understand that speaks to not only your profound ignorance, but viciousness.

Again, well done. We’re all very impressed.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

A first class hack! I’m gonna put that on my business cards!

And how is this gossip unsupported? I saw the actual video of him peeing in that bucket, as well as leaping out of the car at that paparazzi, and multiple other things on this list. What in particular do you have an issue with?

      • Roma Jenco

You’re welcome, re: first class hack.

Sadly, I only wish I was kidding.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

I don’t think you’re very sad about it, though.

      • Roma Jenco

        ‘Tis true.

Do you have a sensible response to my longer comment at the top, jousty stuff aside?

    • Roma Jenco

Sorry Alexis, I wanted to “reply” to your comment but it wouldn’t let me post as a reply so I am putting it here.

      My response:

The video showed a snapshot of events at South Pointe.

One of the waitresses at the scene said Rennalls’ provoked the fight.

The lawsuit he has lodged is clearly about money.

The mop bucket incident happened. No arguing with that.

But It doesn’t mean someone’s career should end or that a 19-year-old should be written off. Bieber isn’t the first boy to piss where he shouldn’t, not will he be the last.

As for that paparazzo, no-one forces shutterbugs to harass and stalk people in order to make a living. At the time, in May 2012, EMT’s on the scene and later hospital staff found no evidence of injury on the photog.

He has come forward now to make a buck and take advantage of Bieber’s “new” public persona.

You’re a sharp writer Alexis but you are missing a vital compassion chip. Can you imagine what it must be like to have your every teenage move analyzed and condemned?

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Absolutely can’t imagine that, and I’ve said it multiple times. I don’t envy him (or anyone) growing up in the spotlight. And I consider myself a very compassionate person, but when I see someone continue to act the same way, or begin to escalate their behavior, I run out of patience.

I really do appreciate you taking the time to respond in depth to each point, but in the same way I’m not going to change your mind about Bieber being irresponsible, you’re not going to change mine. I get that you’re a fan of his, and I have no problem with that. I would never attack you for liking him, but I’m repeatedly attacked for disliking him, even though we’re all in the same boat.

I don’t know this guy. I’ve never met him. I make assumptions based on his actions, and that’s all either of us can do. I respect your opinions, so it would be nice if you’d respect mine.

      • Roma Jenco

I hear that. And you’re obviously entitled to your opinion.

I have no problem with respecting your opinions, but not if they’re based on erroneous information. Just on a basic level it’s not fair to judge someone for something that isn’t true.

It can’t be denied that Justin has made mistakes. This is definitely a challenging period for him. My stance though, is that people grow and change as they get older. It’s one of the things we’re here to do.

The way to cultivate that in someone is encouragement not constant sniping. As adults, putting stuff out there on the web that just encourages more hate doesn’t help.

I posted the info in my longer comment – which I promise you is all verifiable – really just to put some signposts your way. I look forward to reading more textured articles from you that possibly incorporate some of what you might now research for yourself in your web/court document travels.

        Have a great day Alexis.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Definitely worthwhile points. Just bear in mind that it’s part of my job to take a firm stance on something that can draw interest in a post and encourage commentary from fans. As a human being, I don’t have a strong opinion on Justin either way.

And thank you! You have a great day as well!

      • Roma Jenco

I hear that too. I just wanted to give you some info that could possibly inform and I’m pretty sure a writer such as yourself could still make an “entertaining,” traffic grabbing post out of it.

Everyone online is doing the wagging finger angle. If, nothing else it would be interesting to see someone take a position that allowed for a wider perspective.

Anyway, you know I’ll still be reading you.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

If I get a wider perspective, you’ll be the first to know! Thanks for being an engaged reader — we really appreciate people like you!

      • Roma Jenco

        Ah, Alexis! Thank you.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

        You’re welcome! Thank YOU!

    • That_Darn_Kat

Tsk tsk, Alexis, I’m surprised you didn’t include him spitting on his fans from his balcony. Seriously, I didn’t care for him, and refused to let my daughter listen to his music before that incident. After….well, now I despise him. If someone shows that much contempt for their fans, they aren’t deserving of their position in the spotlight.

Also “oh my gawd, your so stupid obvs Biebs is sooo awesome and you suck and youl never amount to real journalsim”

*twitch* I just hurt my brain typing that. Keep it up, I LOVE your stuff ;)

      • Jenni Moore

He didn’t spit on his fans. He spit into the bushes that were underneath the window. Fans who were actually there have said this repeatedly. You sir, are ignorant.

      • Skizerz

omg i haven’t laughed this hard in a while. what’s the difference? HE SPIT AT HIS FANS, who the fuck cares where it landed. that’s not even an argument. you’re the perfect example of a mindless beiber fan that defends EVERYTHING he ever does.

      • Jenni Moore

There is a big difference because he wasn’t aiming spit at his fans. Him and his friend were having a loogey contest. And I don’t defend everything he does; you don’t even know me. Also, a lot of the things he has done aren’t even that bad. I know plenty of people who have gotten a DUI, or gone through a troubled phase when they were young. Everyone needs to stop acting like they are so much better than him morally. He’s a normal person who makes mistakes. If people like you, Alexis, and the media want to continue to put him down with bullying articles like these, then good for you.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

But DUIs are bad, right? So if I haven’t gotten one and he has…then isn’t it true that I kind of AM better than him?

      • Jenni Moore

It just means that you haven’t gotten caught. But whatever makes you feel better.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Do you drive drunk, Jenni? Is that why you think it’s so acceptable?

      • Jenni Moore

No, I don’t think it’s acceptable at all! But I’d be lying if I said I have never driven while under the influence of SOMETHING. Also, for the record, he was well within the legal limit for alcohol. It was the traces of marijuana and Xanax in his system that got him the DUI. I don’t condone what he did, but I’m just saying it doesn’t make him any worse than all the college kids I used to know who would drive around shitfaced. That’s exactly where his mental state is right now: the college kid-go-crazy-mindset. The only difference is that his childish mistakes are magnified, and he’s demonized for them because he’s supposed to be “a role model” – which is a silly expectation in my opinion.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

I don’t expect him to be a role model. What I do expect him to be is a law-abiding citizen.

      • Jenni Moore

And that’s fine, but maybe you don’t need to add to negative media that builds young artists up only to bring them down. It’s a bad look, and bad journalism.

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Sigh. Still not a journalist. I’m a blogger.

      • Jenni Moore

Craig Ferguson and Jada Pinkett Smith have some good insight on this matter. I recommend you follow suit

        http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2013/03/11/jada-pinkett-smith-are-we-bullying-young-artists/1978957/

      • Alexis Rhiannon

Ooh yes, love insight from Jada Pinkett-Smith. She’s proven herself such a luminary of intelligence.

    • Taryn

I liked the article Alexis! I’m sorry you’re getting so much hate for it. Keep up the good work ;)
