There’s only one place that Kardashians turn to when they’re really serious about making a point, and that place is social media. Case in point — Khloe Kardashian changed her name on Instagram last week to remove Lamar Odom‘s name from her handle, and this just got reeeeeeeal.
It’s not so much that I was holding out hope for Lamar and Khloe’s marriage in all this (although they’ve actually lasted a surprisingly long time considering how quickly they got married), it’s more that I didn’t know Kris Jenner would actually allow them to divorce. I thought she learned her lesson when Kim and Kris Humphries dragged things out for two years; I’m surprised she didn’t force all her kids to give her conservatorship over their affairs right then and there. But she apparently didn’t, because according to Us Weekly:
“She called him on their anniversary and told him she’d be filing for divorce. She wanted to give him fair warning. Khloe was very firm. She said she will be filing soon and she thinks it’s best they move on. Khloe told Lamar she hopes he gets the help he needs.”
And in case that wasn’t clear enough, there was also the aforementioned Instagram adjustment from ‘Khloe Kardashian Odom’ to just ‘Khloe’, and the same change on Twitter:
“Changing her name on social media was a big step in letting people know she is moving on.”
GIRL I KNOW IT. You don’t have to tell me twice.
