This might be news to you, but there are lots and lots of blogs in the world. No, really, there are thousands upon thousands out there, just waiting for you to discover and bookmark them in your browser. And some of those sites were created and are run by celebrity humans, who wear professional makeup and expensive outfits. I mean, sure, you’ve heard of the blogs of show-offy celebrities, like Beyoncé’s and Gwyneth Paltrow’s, who blog exclusively to prove how like us they are. But some celebrities do it for the same reason that normal people do, because they like to say opinions in more than 140 characters.
So, without further ado, here are the 13 celebrities who run blogs that have managed to fly relatively under the radar for a pretty long time. Who even knows how they did it?
1. Katy Perry
Katy Perry’s Tumblr blog, cleverly titled Kitty Purry (hehe, cat puns, you get it?), features posts about random things and is exactly how I imagine the inside of Katy’s brain to look. But, if you got excited about reading frequent updates from Katy, don’t. She doesn’t post on the blog often, probably because she’s too busy finding fun colors to dye her hair, or whatever.
2. Coco Rocha
In her spare time, when she isn’t making faces at (or dramatically away from) cameras, Coco posts fashion-y photos and photos of herself. There are a lot of photos of her, so I’m guessing it’s one of her favorite things in this world.
3. Zooey Deschanel
Sure, everyone knows about Hello Giggles, but I’m talking about Zooey’s very own personal one. Because what’s a quirky girl without a personal blog? No, really, this is a question that every girl destined to live the quirky life must answer. And the only way that she is able to continue on is by repeating to herself in a mirror, “Without me, my blog is nothing. Without my blog, I am nothing.” And, only then, is she handed a set of complimentary bangs and a vintage purse.
4. Joseph Gordon-Levitt
You’ve probably heard about JGL’s whole HitRecord movement, but if you are anything like me, you weren’t aware that he also runs a personal Tumblr blog of the same name. He reblogs a lot of things that fall under the “official business” category, but sometimes, he mixes things up with a beautiful selfie.
5. Matthew Gray Gubler
You might know him as the Guy Who Kinda Sorta Probably Dated Taylor Swift That One Time. Or, I guess you might know him for being an actor, whatever. But did you know that, when not face painting with pop stars and being an actor, he types words? Like, lots of them, onto a blog, which is owned by him. Well, now you know. Glad I could help.
6. Dianna Agron
Okay, I don’t get the meaning of her blog’s URL (she explains that Charlie is the blog space but that doesn’t make sense, so…), but I can’t say that I’m too surprised that Dianna has a blog that kind of exists in secret. She seems like the type of famous person who would start a personal blog to seek refuge from Hollywood. And, by “Hollywood,” I really mean people at concerts wearing large hats. That’s two mentions for you, Taylor Swift!
7. Joe Jonas
Another serial non-poster is the middle Jonas Brother, who probably spends a lot of his current time trying to learn how to spell his girlfriend, Blanda’s, last name. I don’t blame him, though, I’ve been trying for several months and I’m still not all the way there. But, when he did post, they were photos of artsy-like things, because he is an artist.
8. Lady Gaga
Of course Gaga’s blog name would be Amen Fashion. I don’t know why that’s so obvious, but really, can you think of another thing that she would’ve named it? And, because she realizes that 99% of her headlines are about the newest weird thing that she’s wearing, she decided to make it easy for everyone and just post photos of her outfits herself.
9. Frank Ocean
Frank Ocean is pretty well-known within the Tumblr community because he speaks in poems basically all of the time and also takes cool photos. So, yeah, that’s what his Tumblr is full of. And, if you didn’t happen to know that it existed before, you do now!
10. Lucy Hale
Lucy hasn’t posted in a little while, but, in the grand scheme of celebrity blogs, hers is one of my favorites because it looks like the work of a person who doesn’t take themselves too seriously. I like those kinds of people.
11. Hayley Williams
Hayley Williams, aka the only member of Paramore that you know, apparently also has a blog. She doesn’t really use it to talk about her band, which is cool if you want to get to know her a little better but not cool if you just want to know about Paramore. I don’t know what you want, I can’t read your mind.
12. Aziz Ansari
Aziz takes breaks from treating himself on Parks & Recreation to blog a little bit. And, yeah, his blog is just about as silly as you’d expect it to be. In a good way, I mean.
13. Kevin Mchale
Aaand, last but not least, there’s Kevin Mchale from Glee, whose blog title is very ironic. Get it, because he’s sick of his own voice, yet he’s got a blog with which to share that voice? Anyone?
So, if you’re looking for a new way to procrastinate or you happen have some bizarre celebrity blog collection, there ya go, 13 more celebrity blogs that are now in your sights. Blog on, my celeb pals.
