I think you’d be hard-pressed to prove that Benedict Cumberbatch took a single day off this year, guys. I don’t know how many films he had in the Toronto Film Festival total, but he had three in our top ten list alone, in addition to promoting Star Trek Into Darkness and shooting the third season of Sherlock. That would’ve kept a human being busy enough, but now here he is cropping up again getting pistol-whipped in the teaser trailer for his upcoming independent short film called Little Favour.
What’s pistol-whipping, you say? Well it’s when someone hits you in the face with a gun, of course! I learned about it in college because it was a thing that people kept liking to do to other people on and around our campus. What fun! And it’s also something that happens to Benedict in this teaser trailer for the movie, which was shot in June and will be released who knows when! (All the teaser says is ‘coming soon’.)
“Its been 7 years since he left Her Majesty’s service and 10 years since the American Counter part who became his friend, saved his life on a joint mission in Iraq. He’s migrated his skill set into a lucrative business while managing to keep his secret battle with PTSD under wraps. One day, while finally deciding to try his hand at a functional relationship, his old friend JAMES cashes in his chip and asks a LITTLE FAVOUR. How could he refuse when he owes the man his life?”
If we promise to watch this, Benedict, will you promise to take, like, four hours off in between your next two projects? Cool, thanks.
