The Next Carrie Underwood: Cassadee Pope
Cassadee Pope is another product of reality TV – she won the third season of singing competition show The Voice. Pope was the first female winner of the show. Her version of Miranda Lambert’s “Over You,” which she performed in the third live round of The Voice, knocked “Gangnam Style” off the top of the iTunes charts to become the number one downloaded song. Before the show, Cassadee was the lead singer of pop punk band Hey Monday. It looks like her celebrity coach Blake Shelton converted her to country though, because her new solo material has a definite country-pop crossover vibe. Her new album, Frame by Frame will be released on October 8.
